Chapter 9

Man I can't believe this shit! I don't even know if I'm still going to college. This is crazy. My girl mad & we don't even know how we gonna escape this shit. All I know is I gotta kill this man. I don't care if he my father or not. Fuck him.

Joshua thoughts are just bugging him. Whitney hasn't said a word to him since they pulled off.

"Babe? Why you not talking?"

Joshua asked.

"Bae this shit is crazy man. Like I haven't even told my mom. I know she going crazy"

"Why don't you call her? I gave you a phone"

"How can I explain this shit? She's just going to think that I'm running off to be with you"

"Oh nah, that's crazy. Call your mom Whitney. Please"

"Okay fine, since you asked nicely"

Whitney picked up the phone and dialed her mother's number.

"Hello! Ma? Can you hear me?"

"Yes, where the hell you at? I've been calling your phone and I haven't gotten an answer. I know you're with your boyfriend but at least answer your mother."

Wanda yelled through the phone.

"Ma, I got to explain something to you. I just need you to listen"

"Okay child what is it?"

"Well Joshua's father is in a gang or whatever. He wants custody of his two little sisters and his brother. He killed Joshua's aunt trying to get to his youngest sister. He's dangerous & now we're on the run. You and Chrystal have to go out of state. I don't know where we're going exactly but just know I'm safe"

"Oh lord. I heard about that murder. My baby! I want you to be safe. Me & your sister is leaving as soon as possible. Is it okay if I call you tomorrow on this number?"

"Wait you mean to tell me you're not mad? What the hell"

"No baby, you got to do what you got to do."

"Okay mama, you can call me on this number"

"Alright baby, I'll talk to you later"

Whitney hung up the phone & placed it in the cup holder.

"So how did your mom take it Whit?"

Josh asked as he continued driving.

"She said she's leaving as soon as possible"

"Okay good. How you feeling?"

"Im scared. I have so many thoughts going through my mind."

"You're not the only one. I'm trying to sort this shit out. I knew this day was coming but I didn't expect to put you through it. I'm sorry Whitney & once we get rid of him you can live your life without me."

"Why would I want to live my life without you? You're the only man who actually tries to protect me & I love you for that."

"Hold up... You love me for just that reason or you love me love me?"

Joshua asked as he looked at her.

"Joshy I love you."

Whitney turned to Joshua to see his reaction.

"Girlllllll I love you too"

Joshua said while smiling and licking his lips.

"Boy, you always doing too much"

Whitney said as she started laughing. They both got silent and just listened to Chris Brown on the radio.

Meanwhile in Tevin and Nya car they were arguing.

"Tevin what the fuck is this? You didn't tell me none of this"

"Well excuse me Nya but i could've sworn before the weekend started you wasn't even my girlfriend. You think I knew this was gonna happen all of a sudden?"

"Oh so now that I'm your girlfriend in stuck in this mess. I need to call my family cause thanks to yours mine are in danger"

"Nah Shawdy don't blame my damn family. Nobody told you to be my girlfriend. That was your choice. I know my family ain't perfect but they all I have & you not gon disrespect them. I'll pull over and you can find your own way back"

"Fine then pull the hell over"

Tevin ignores her and turn on Gucci mane.

"I said pull over tevin"

Tevin turned up the radio up so he couldn't hear her talking.

"Pull over. Now!"

Nya said yelling
Tevin turns the radio down and looks at Nya

"Man you doing too much. I promise you if I pull over I'm leaving you."

"Oh is that right?"

"Yeah it's right. You been complaining this whole damn time about some shit I have no control over. I'm trying to figure out how ima protect everybody and all you doing is nagging me. My own damn mother don't do this"

"We'll just pull over and leave me then since you about that life"

Tevin pulled over and so did his mom, sister and brother.

"Go head Nya, get the fuck out the car"

Nya grabbed her stuff and got out the car. Everybody else got out their car and walked over to Nya.

"What the hell is going on Tevin?"

Ashley asked.

"She wanted to get out so I let her. I'm not dealing with her bs ma"

"Tevin y'all two can't be serious. This shit isn't a game. We have to go so Nya get your ass in the car, Tevin don't you pull over no more"

"Naaaah let her get in your car. I ain't dealing with her"

"Fine. Nya you ride with Gisselle and Chris you ride with Tevin"

Chris got in the car with Tevin and everybody pulled off.

"Yo Tevin what's going on bruh?"

Chris asked as he hooked his iPod up to the aux cord.

"She just got to bugging about this whole situation"

"Yeah this shit wild but we all in this shit together now. I wanna protect your sister as much as you do. We can't bail on each other we kinda like family now you feel me?"

"I feel you bruh but she don't understand that. I honestly didn't expect for this shit to pop off this weekend"

"Yeah me neither but hey that's your girl. Y'all should talk. When we get to the rest stop y'all gotta do that"

"Okay lil bruh you got my word"

They dapped each other up and cut on migos.
