Chapter 3

It was friday & Joshua couldn't wait to see his girl. He always walked her to class & after school she would walk him to practice & stay till it was over.

"hey baby!"

Whitney yelled as Joshua walked toward her. Joshua dropped his duffle bag & kissed her.

"wassup lil ma?"

"nothing, what we doing this weekend?"

"my mom said you can stay the weekend with a real nigga as long as it's cool with your mom"

"boy!!! You ain't no real nigga, & yeah that's cool. I'll call her while you're in practice. Now walk me to class cause you know how Ms. Thompson is"

Joshua picks up his bag & he takes Whitney's bag & books from her. He walked her to the door & kissed her. He ran to his last period of the day.

"Yo Josh!"

Tevin yelled from down the hall. Tevin was Joshua's little brother on his fathers side. Tevin & Joshua's moms were always cool so they agreed to let tevin move in with Ashely so all of them can be together.

"Whats up baby bro?"

"You think ma gonna let Nya stay the weekend too? I heard y'all talking about whitney when y'all was in the kitchen"

"Damn boy, your ass stay being nosey. But idk you gotta ask her while she's distracted"

They both burst into laughter.

"okay, ima ask her when we get home. Can I ride with you & whit?"

"you know I got practice after school right?"

"duh, I got football practice too! Coach gonna let us out early though."

"okay cool be at the car at 5:30 sharp boy!"

"iight bro, good look. See y'all later"

And with that tevin ran to class.

Mr. Lucas always had something to say to Joshua.

"Hey Joshua, you're late for the first time! I would send you right back out but this a warning. Don't make this a habit. Now take a seat"

Joshua went to his regular seat, took out his math book & pencil. He caught up with the rest of the class. He was texting Whitney during the group activity.

The bell rung & the students left the class. Joshua met up with Whitney at her locker. He peeped his lil brother chilling with Nya.

"come on whit! Ima be late for practice cause your ass wanna put on make up."

" sorry baby. Let's go! I don't wanna hear you bitch & complain"

"don't get your ass stuffed in a locker somewhere. Can you start on Ms. Thompson homework while I'm in practice? I'll finish the rest when we get to my house"

"okay, now go before you gotta run"

Joshua ran to the locker room, changed his clothes & ran to the court with the rest of his team mates.

5:30 came quick as usual & the team was wrapping up practice.

"baby can you grab my bag? I'll meet you at the car."

Whitney was in the gym waiting for Joshua to end practice.

"hurry up josh! I'm tired."

"okay okay I'm coming. Don't be rushing me"

Whitney grabbed Joshua's things & took his keys out his bag and went to the car. She noticed tevin & nya at the car waiting.

"wassup youngings? What y'all getting ready to do?"

"hey whit!"

Nya said as she walked up to Whitney waiting for her hug"

"hey whit, & nothing we riding with y'all today. & plus my mom said Nya can stay the weekend."

Tevin said as he hugged Whitney.

"Oh okay cool. Y'all wanna put y'all things in the trunk or no?"

"sure"

Whitney popped the trunk & put Joshua bag in there then closed it. Joshua came jogging to the car. He grabbed Whitney & kissed her like he loved her.

"I been waiting to do that since i had practice"

"you're so silly baby."

She smiled at him & they all got in the car.

"you ask ma tevin?"

Joshua asked as he took his keys & got in the car.

"sure did, she said yes. I caught her while she was at the car wash"

he started laughing

"works every time,"

Moments later Joshua pulled into the garage & grabbed his bag & Whitney's bag. Tevin grabbed his book bag & made Nya carry her own bag.

"if you don't get that bag from Nya ima fuck you up!"

With that being said tevin grabbed the bag from Nya & they all walked in the house.

"hey ma!"

As he kissed his mother on the cheek.

" ma, we gonna go put these bags in the room and then introduce everybody"

They all followed Joshua upstairs to Tevin's room & they placed the girls bags in there.

"so my moms not rocking with letting us sleep together so y'all got tevin room and we got my room. Cool?"

Joshua said to Nya & Whitney.

"yeah baby, fine with me."

Whitney said

"that's cool bro in law"

"bro in law? That's really cute"

Tevin said to Nya.

The group started laughing as they were walking back down the steps. Ashley was in the room putting the food on the table for everybody.

"Tevin go get Gisselle now!"

"Yes ma'am"

Gisselle came running down the stairs from tevin.

"stop that fucking playing & go wash your hands"

Ashley yelled at Tevin & Gisselle.

"ma this is whitney, my girlfriend & girlfriend this is my mom Ashely."

Joshua said as he introduced them.
Ashley grabbed Whitney in for a hug.

"It's nice to meet you. You're very beautiful"

"thank you ms. Ashley. You are beautiful too! Now I see where Joshua get his looks from."

Ashley blushed.

" thank you baby"

"ma this is nya, my girlfriend. Girlfriend this is my mom Ashely"

Everybody looked at tevin as if they had seen a ghost. Even Nya looked at him that way.

Ashley grabbed Nya in for a hug too.

"aww my baby has a girlfriend he's ready to commit too! I'm so proud of you"

"Gisselle you already know Nya & Whitney"

Joshua said as he sat at the table

"Yeah I see them around school! Hey yall. Or should I say welcome to the family"

They all leaned in for a big group hug.

Joshua: "let's eat squaddd!!"
