Chapter 2

Joshua had a big day ahead of him. He had two meetings with scouts from georgetown university & university of maryland. He was really excited & nervous. Finally about to graduate & start a new chapter of his life.

"Joshua honey, you're gonna be late. Grab your jacket and let's go"

yelled Joshua's mother Ashley.

"Coming ma, I gotta brush my hair"

"Boy brush that damn  in the car. Let's go right now"

Joshua grabbed his brush & ran down the steps and out the door.

*meeting at georgetown university*

"Joshua I like your skills. You really have a positive attitude when it comes to basketball. I mean your leadership skills are off the charts & georgetown hoyas can really use that on the team."

Mr Stevens said as he was reviewing Joshua's video.

"Well thank you sir & I'll really put it into consideration. Can I have a couple days to think about it?"

Asked Joshua.

"Sure son, take as much time as you need. Just give me a call."

"Okay sir, I definitely will be giving you a call, have a nice day & thank you for everything"

Mr. Stevens & Joshua  got up out of their chair to shake each other's hand. Then Joshua turn toward his mother grabbed her hand & walked out of the office.

"I'm so proud of the young man you're turning into."

"Thanks momma, I love you."

He kissed his mom on the forehead & opened the car door. On the way home thought it would be cool to tell his mom about him & Whitney.

"Aye ma"

"Wassup baby boy?"

"Guess what ya boy did yesterday"

"oh lord boy what you do?"

"I asked Whitney to be my girlfriend again"

Joshua began to smile

"Boy you been trying to get with that girl for the longest. what she say?"

"She finally said yes!"

Josh said smiling extra hard

"Finally she said yes, she been playing games!"

They both begin laughing while pulling up to their house.

Josh went in his room & changed his clothes then came back down stairs in his tank top, jordan slippers & basketball shorts. He started playing grand theft auto 5 & listening to lil boosie. His mom was in the kitchen preparing dinner.

"Aye ma, can whitney come stay the weekend? Pleaseeeee"

"you have got to be kidding me boy"

"come on ma, she can sleep in Gisselle's room"

"hell no, she's not sleeping in your sister's room."

"okay fine she can sleep in my room"

Joshua said as he rubbed his hands together and smirked.

"you must think I'm some kind of damn fool!"

"ma come on! You can even call her mom"

"okay Joshua, now get the hell outta my face before I change my mind"

Joshua grabs his mother & picks her hip off her feet. He kissed her forehead & sat her back down.

"thanks ma!"

He went back in the living room and continued to play his music & game. Gisselle walks in the house & threw her book bag by the door.

"Wassup big bro!! I haven't seen you all day."

Gisselle said as she plopped on the couch next to Joshua.

"Duh Gisselle, you was clearly at school and I wasn't."

Gisselle playfully punched Joshua in the arm & began to get off the couch

"Girl don't be hitting me before I knocked your ass out"

"Shut up punk, you don't wanna catch these hands"

Joshua starts laughing & Gisselle throws a book & run in the kitchen with her mom.

"Maaaaaa Joshua trying to hit me"

"Gisselle & Joshua, want an ass whooping?"

"NOO!"

They both yelled at the same time

"Alright then! Go get washed up. Dinner almost ready"

Joshua cut the game off & followed Gisselle upstairs.
