Chapter 18: Just Beautiful

(Joey's P.O.V)    

     When we're on the road we were heading to the hospital.

"Hold on Meghan, were almost there." I say while holding her hand. But her hand is putting more pressure on mine because well let's say she's going into labor.

   We arrive at the hospital and rush straight in. I yell out

     " She's going into labor!" I yell out.

     Two nurses in blue shirts come and put Meghan on a wheelchair.

     " Hold on Honey, were almost to the room." One of the nurses said. A nurse grabbed a cold towel and placed it on her sweaty forehead. Meghan is breathing in through her nose and letting it out of her mouth. We finally arrive at the room and we grab her shoulders and lay her on the bed.

      A female doctor comes in through the door. She puts on gloves. I turn to Meghan.

     " You'll make it", I said "I promise." I grabbed her hand. She nods her head in agreement.

     " Ok Honey. I need you to breathe. You may feel a slight pain." Other nurses stick and IV in her hand.

     " Now we're going to need you to push." The nurse says. Meghan takes a big push and screams.

     " Two more big pushes honey." The doctor says.

     I look to the side to see a relieved Meghan. I see she is still breathing heavily. I then here a sound of a little cry. I turned my head to see a baby. A very petite baby. They rap her up in a small blanket. The nurse then comes toward us.

     " Congratulations, it's a baby girl", she said and handed her to Meghan. I turned my head to my baby girl. She's peacefully in Meghan's arms. I look at Meghan to see her she's shedding some tears. I feel the exactly the same way.
I go and kneel next to the bed and look at all the perfections our little girl is. Meghan turns her head toward me and says

" We did it, we have a new member of our family." I smile and am just the one of the most happiest person alive.

    " Want to hold her?" Meghan lifts her hands and brings them toward me. I lightly grab the blanket with her little body snuggled inside. That's when I felt something I never felt before. A tingle ran up my spine and I felt my heart begin to beat faster. This was the feeling of becoming a parent. I never thought to this day to have a kid with the one I love. Who knew where I would have been now if Meghan wasn't in my life. Right then I look straight at her eyes and smile. I wonder if you have your mothers eyes. I then feel a head rest on my shoulder. I turn and see Meghan. A smile that I have never seen before. She looks so amazing happy. More happy then she was before. I then feel all the options spread on me and I think to myself where will I see myself in 20 years. I then feel a tear form and I know from this day forward I need to take my life saving and concentrate on her and Meghan. They are my life to me. I then have a question that's never been asked I lift my head up.

     " What's her name." I ask, quite curious. I can tell Meghan has no clue until I see a smile form from her mouth to her cheeks.

     " Her name is -" right then a nurse comes rushing in..

     " We need you two to hide." Right then I heard two gun shots. Me and Meghan got up and went to go hide in the bathroom. We get in and lock it. I see Meghan forming a lot more tears. I then hear three more gun shots. Getting closer and closer. Right then we hear one so close to the room
Our baby woke up and started to crie. Meghan rocks her back and forth to make her stop crying so the person with the gun wouldn't find us. Right then we heard a door bust open. I was frightened and so was Meghan.

     " Come out, Come out wherever you are..."
