Castle squirmed under Beckett's interrogation, flapping his hands out in a gesture of helplessness.
"Well it's not like she's going to be forgetting anytime soon anyway," he started, but shut up completely when Beckett shot him a piercing glare.
"And worse, uniforms canvassed the whole area and no one even saw the guy. He's just – gone!"
"We'll get him," Castle assured her. "It's not like he's... uh..." Castle lost his train of thought, but was saved by Leslie's return. Beckett turned off her computer and pulled on her coat.
"Ready to go?" she asked Leslie, who nodded.
"Night Castle," Beckett said curtly. Leslie smiled slightly at him.
"Goodnight Castle. Thanks for the coffee."
"No worries Leslie. Goodnight."
