Hogwarts Mini-Story 6

Michelis Dove's POV/ Professor Dove's POV

"Thank you Professor Dove," a polite Slytherin girl said before scampering off to do her homework.

I nodded before walking down the halls, feeling my palms get sweaty, my hand clutched tightly on my wand. I could feel the pressure rising in my throat, and it clamped shut so I could barely breathe. This was happening. This was really happening.

My feet moved through the hallways, at a slow pace, my mind reeling faster than the speed of light. Was this the right choice? Should this really happen?

She had no idea... but I had planned this for a while now and felt it was time.

I couldn't imagine spending time with anyone else.

This thought drove me even faster forward, ignoring the students walking to the Great Hall. Where I was heading.

I walked through the giant doors, the Great Hall tables filled with students finishing their meals and waiting patiently while Cassandra politely smiled at me.

She knew about this.

With a flick of my wand, I felt an object appear in my hands, which were now closed tight behind my back.

I walked through the middle aisle, while students started questioning what was going on.

Heat rushed to my head, which probably shown because of my white hair.

I smiled at all the students.

Then I walked over to Cassandra, shaking her hand

"Thank you." I whispered before turning to face the students in the Great Hall.

I waited a few seconds before Professor Yuki came in through the doors.

She walked towards me, her smile radiating off her face as she caught sight of me. I smiled nervously back. She kept her eyes on me, noticing my anxiety.

Quietly, she came to me and was about to open her mouth to speak before it happened.

And by it, I mean me.

I dropped down on one knee, pulling my hands in front of me, and brandishing a gleaming diamond ring that sparkled like her beauty.

She gave a gasp and put her hands over her mouth. Shock filled her face and tears brimmed her eyes.

"Oh Michelis..." She gave a barely audible whisper and I felt my heart swell at the way she said my name. With love.

I could feel every flaw on my body all of a sudden. My sticky sweat, and not perfect hair. The way I breathed like I ran a marathon...

I could feel it all.

Until...

She said...

"Yes."

I exhaled relief and the Great Hall exploded in cheers. I didn't even realize they were all watching until their cries of joy erupted and I felt happy.

I slipped the ring on her slender finger, before standing up.

She looked into my eyes and we fell into a deep kiss.
