Riley's POV💫

"You're his sister?!" I yell, shocked.

"Sadly, yes." She says with a laugh.

I suddenly notice the similarities between the two of them, tanned skin and dark hair. But her hair has streaks of many different colors mixed into it, as if she didn't want people to notice the similarities.

"My name is Isabella, by the way." She says, jutting her hand out to meet mine.

"I'm Riley." I say with a smile, grasping her hand and shaking it.

"So. How does it feel to meet your mate, leave him, have an entire pack search for you, see him again, then leave him again, then be beaten, captured, and dragged here against your will?" She says with a humorous look in her eye.

"Feels like I should change the channel on this soap opera." I say with a joking scoff, jumping face first on the bed and groaning. She laughs and follows my motions.

"It was actually pretty horrible here for the whole pack. He was working the warriors like pack mules, and he was so miserable. He was a complete wreck. I've never seen him so aggressive, yet vulnerable. Honestly, I think if we were attacked during that time, we would have all been screwed." She says with a serious tone.

My heart dropped to my toes and shattered into a million pieces. It's horrible to hear that I could have caused the death of tons of people. On top of that, my mate was a wreck. I hate hearing that he is anything but happy, even though I know he isn't most of the time. Which also reminds me of the sad guilty look he had on his face before I slammed the door.

"I'm sorry that I caused your pack distress, but I honestly can't picture him like that." I say with a sigh and she lets out a dull laugh.

"That's because whenever you are with him, he is happy. He was only destroyed because he didn't know where you were and if you would ever come back to him. Even now, he knows you're upset with him and he's kind of on a rampage." She says with a weak smile and my jaw drops.

"What is he doing?" I ask wide-eyed.

"Well according to the pack mind link, he has broken all of the chairs in the dining room, kicked down a few doors, broke a glass coffee table, and made multiple holes in the walls." She says with a laugh and I feel the guilt settle heavily on my chest

"Why does he think I'm just going to fall madly in love with him? He hasn't done anything to make me have interest in him, in fact, he has done things to make me dislike him even more." I say with an exasperated sigh.

"Most mates fall for each other instantly, and I don't know how you guys don't feel the mate bond, it's usually stronger for the mate of an alpha, and it's stronger for white wolves too." She said with a confused look.

"It's not about the bond, because trust me, I can feel the stupid bond. It's about what he's done and what he does to others. He lost his temper on me, his mate, over something stupid. So I don't want to know what his temper is like over something serious." I say gravely.

"He lost his temper on you? That is so weird." She said with wide eyes.

"He called me a bipolar bitch."

"He what?!" She yells flabbergasted, her eyes turning to saucers. "How could he do that?! He's your mate!"

I sighed. "I don't know... But that's why I came in here. I wanted to shower and get new clothes but he took my into his room, I said I refused to stay in his room and he got mad..." I say, my tone low and full of emotion.

She lets out a frustrated sigh and rubs a hand over her face, stretching out her tanned skin. "Listen, he's not used to this whole mate thing. He didn't think he had a mate. Most wolves meet their mate when they are 16 up to maybe 18. He is 23. As time went by he started to lose hope and he started to get overly aggressive. Which is also the cause for his brutality. So, I promise, he's trying, but he built himself walls. Strong walls of aggression that only you can break down. Just give him a chance." She says with a sad smile.
