"I cant believe that you didnt bless me with a mate!" Draven roared. His voice echoed through the large pale white walls surrounding the fancy gathering room.
The guests stared at one another in confusion of what was going on, hushed words of exchange rosed from them.
The Moon Goddess took in a deep breath, silencing the chatter and motionlessly responded "Draven, you need to calm down and let me expla-"
"No, theres no need for a explanation," He said cutting mother off. "I have waited five hundred years for her, I have travelled all over the world hoping to find her and yet here I am, mateless."
"Draven, I-"
"Shut up Artimis," he bellowed.
The guests looked taken aback. Nobody has ever dared to speak to the Moon Goddess in such disrespect.
"Today will be the day I get my revenge on you," He declared, facing the my crib, "since i do not have a mate, i shall make baby Aurora mine instead." Draven leaned in and pecked my tiny forehead.
"NO!" My mother shouted, extending her hand to grab me out of my crib. "Not my baby, please no!"
Father pulled his arm firmly around Mother "No, he might do something to you too."
Relunctly, mother gave him a small nod and stopped trying to escape father's strong hold.
Draven smirked viciously and leaned back holding out his hands and laughed wickedly. He unfolds his jet black wings, and uttered the words my parents feared most. "On the eve of Aurora's nineteenth birthday, she will be mine, and mine alone!"
As soon as the last word came out of Draven's mouth two crescent moons, back to back appeared on my left wrist, sealing the curse.
The crowd gasped. Mother broke down into full on crying mode, Father was still holding her in his arms. He himself tried hard not to break down as well.
Draven had already gone before Fathers could sent guards to capture him.
Father looked out to the guests pleadingly. "Is there anyone here that can reverse the curse?"
The guests looked among themselves, murmuring to their neighbors.
"I-I could put a spell to counter it." A femine voice said softly. Her lavendar wings fluttered nervously. She pulled at the lacy hem of her white dress.
My fathers eyes twinkled with hope, even my mother stopped her sobbing to look at the source of the voice.
"Come brave one. What is your name?" My father asked gesturing her to come closer
She hestiantly flew up beside mother and father her honey blond hair whipping around her as she flew. "Greetings, Moon Goddess and Lord Dinsdale," She curtsy. "I am Luella, fifth apprentice to Marigold a fairy charmaker"
Father looked confused,"You excell at charm making, how would you be able to counter this spell?"
"I have studyed the art of spells at a young age with a professionist. I believe I can help you and the Moon Goddess." Luella answered confidently.
"But-"
"Din." Mother gave father a warning glare.
Mother turned to Luella and gave her a comfiring nod. "Go ahead sweetie."
Luella walked over to my crib. She took out her wand and waved it around, she chanted a series words with ease, concluding it with, "Aurora will not be claimed on her nineteenth birthday by Draven Ferris if she finds true acceptance and love in her mate before then."
Luella pointed her wand down at me. A wave of gold fairy dust enclosed around me.
The back to back crescent moons on my wrist flashed a darker black. It was weakening the bond between my mate and I, but of course, nobody knew that at the time. Nobody except Draven knew.
This was how my journey started.
This was how I earned the name 'Cursed goddess'.
