This is the chapter 10 you are suppose to read. Not the one w/Conrad s POV. The shit that happen in that chapter doesn't count, Conrad did not cheat on Aurora .

Lane's POV

"I dont understand how Conrad is alive." I interjected.

Paige shook her head, streaching her back after been slouched behind a laptop for so long. "There is no way he could've survive that attack."

Evie was pacing around throwing various books off her bookshelves. It was how she delt with stress. "Unless he got resuced by a fairy...."

"But why would a fairy resuce him?" I queried.

Aurora stared at us, completely baffled. "W-what?"

"You dont know about the rouge and fairy attack that accured ten years ago to the Cresenta Moonfall Pack?" Paige enquired her slender fingers manvuered the keyboard competently.

Aurora shook her head. She was pretty oblivious to subjects like this.

"Long story short, a traiter was found in the Cresenta Moonfall Pack with a potion made of purple starshades. The Luna was tricked into drinking it which soon diagnoised her with a rare kind of disease. However, the Luna somehow managed to survive but the rouges didn't stop there, they teamed up with a group of fairies to terminate all members of the Cresenta Moonfall Pack." I explained.

Aurora blinked slowly, absorbing the information that was spat out at her.

"What is was she diagnoised with?" Aurora queried.

Evie tossed a book in Aurora's way. "Page sixty three."

Aurora's hands trembled as she flip through the pages. I could feel her paniked thoughts rolling off her in vibes. She smoothed out the pages when she reached her destination. Her blue eyes skimmed through the articles, widening as she went farther.

"They lose their natural powers, and turn into a butterfly that serve the fairy whom posioned them," Aurora's bottom lip quiveried as she read.

Evie interrupted. "Purple starshades can be used in ways of the good too. It has saved many lifes in the history of fairies."

"The spell can be broken if the power of True Love is mixed into the purple starshade," Aurora peers up from her dark lashes. "Is True Love a kind of herb?"

Evie shook her head. "Nobody knows, nobody has ever reversed a Purple Starshade spell before except the author of that book but many think he is insane to think there is a spell to break it."

Aurora looked down, wanting to ask a question that may forver change her view of fairies. "Are the victims stuck as butterflies.. forever?"

"Yes." Evie riposted bluntly.

A tear roll off Aurora's cheeks. "So, Conrad's Mother could be stuck as an butterfly forever?"

We all nodded in unison, none of us dare to speak a word.

"Then we need to find true love, we have to save those victims!" Aurora stated, determinedly.

"Nobody has ever found it before, what makes you think you can?" Evie enquired rather coldly.

"Evie." Paige scold in a warning tone.

Evie resisted the urge to roll her eyes slid down a wall buried her nose in a book. "Whatever."

Evie was always like this, an introvert that didnt like to talk but when she did she was quite bold and seemed apathetic. All in all she is actually scared to be judged by the public and hides herself but once you break down the shell of indiference there was a sensitive girl who just wants to be loved.

A soft knock snapped us out of our indivisual thoughts.

Paige gently closed her laptop to get up and answer the door.

Selena stood on the other side, panting. "C-can I co-ome i-n?"

Paige nodded wordlessly and ushered her in, locking the door behind her.

"What happened to you?" Queried Evie.

"I came to deliever a message to Aur- Cece." Selena responded, catching her breath. She looked at us, wanting to have some privacy.

Paige smiled and said. "Its alright, we know."

Selena hesitated and looked to Aurora for confirmation. She nodded and Selena continued. "Its Mother, shes sick. Luella wants you to come back and fufill the position as Moon Goddess."

Gasps went around the room. Evie dropped her book in addition to the noise.

Aurora's whole body went rigid. "Is Mother..." She halted, not wanting to continue.

"Luella didnt give me the full details so I am not sure but we need to go back to the palace." Selena stated.

"But why didnt Luella speak to me?" Aurora queried. Confusion boiling in her blood.

Selena glanced away. "She didnt want Draven finding out."

"but I thought they trusted Draven!" Aurora exclaimed.

"Yes but your nineteenth birthday is just around the corner! Who know what Draven might do." Looking at Aurora she said. "We need to go back now."

"Pack your possessions, we are leaving. " Selena demanded.

I watched as Aurora swung a neon pink duffel bag over her right shoulder. Selena was next to her, straightening her. It had two big slots for her wings. She was looking up at the clouds for any sign of rain.

"Rory, let's go." Selena called.

Aurora started sauntering towards her sister but then halted in her tracks, glancing back at Paige and I. She looked from Selena to me and finally decided to walk to me.

"Lane, this is for you." Aurora reached into her back pocket and pulled out a mirror framed by pink roses, a bejeweled moon dangling off the corner.

"I can't accept this." I complained, handing it back to her.

She smiles a genuine smile that I haven't seen in a long time. "No, keep it. You can give it back to me when I come back. It's for communicating with us."

She placed her hand over mine. "Im counting on you."

I nodded. "I won't let you down."

I knew the reason why she was holding my hand, she wanted it to be easier for me to read her thoughts because she knew she couldn't say them out loud.

"Cece!" Evie came running up to us, her copper hair was all over the place. "Here, you might need this"

She handed Aurora a old leathrery notebook, the pages were slightly crumpled and yellow.

Aurora gave Evie a puzzled look but thanked her anyway.

"Its research I did on Purple Starshades." Evie whispers in Aurora's ear when she pulled her into a warm embrace.

"Bye guys, I will see you soon." Aurora wiped away tears that were forming.

Paige hugged her next. "You will make a great Moon Goddess, Aurora."

"And you will make a great beta female." complimented Aurora.

Paige blinked. "You remember!"

"Of course, I did."

They waved forwell to us before unfurling their wings and soaring through the clear blue sky just as the fireworks began.

Be safe Aurora I thought before joining the others at the school fair.

Soo, this is chapter 10! A bit sad don't you think?
