Belle's P.O.V.-

The woman's eyes were dull as she cocked her head at me before beginning to shuffle forward. "Sage?" I called out, I slowly raised the gun. My hand shaking from nervousness. The wind tossed my long brown hair into my face as I tried to puff it out of the way by breathing out quickly.

No response came from  my brother as the woman came closer, feet dragging against the cold concrete. "I found something suspicous!" I yelled quickly, again with no response.

The low moans that escaped from the woman sent chills through me, "Stop, ma'm." I said softly as she eyed me and paused. I furrowed my brow, "That worked?"

With a low growl-like sound, she continued forward, as she grew closer my ansxiety grew worse and my breathing became heavy. She was inches from me, and it took her what seemed like seconds to reach me but was actually a good while."I said stop!"

A gun shot echoed in the air as the woman fell to the ground, a bullet wound in her chest. I opened my eyes which had closed without my permission during the incident. I looked down at my gun as I let it fall to my sides.

I furrowed my brow, I never shot that bullet.

"That's why, Uncle Ben taught me to hunt with guns, and you with bows." The voice caused me to jump slightly as I turned to watch Sage walk around me and holding his gun up. Mom quickly walked after him, carrying a cardboard box of supplies.

I narrowed my eyes at Sage, But I couldn't help but miss the comfort I felt with my bow close by. I was an expert at using the compact hunting bow., while Sage preferred Guns when we went on hunting trips.

"That's not funny!" I snapped as he turned to face me. He frowned at me, "Belle, calm down." I narrowed my eyes, That was crossing the line.

 Sage's P.O.V.-

"Belle, calm down." As soon as I finished the sentence, I regretted it. Belle slowly raised an eyebrow, her brown eyes glittering with some emotion I'm sure was somewhere between anger and betrayal. Belle hated being told to calm down, and made me promise to never say it around her.

"What did you just say.." Her voice was threatening as she narrowed her eyes. My frown faded and turned into a speechless expression. "I-ugh.."

"I-Ugh" She mimicked me, "How dare you tell me to calm down! After you promised!"

"I know, Belle. I just-"

"Broke a promise!  I don't need to calm down, this freaking town is falling apart, I have no clue where my little brother is, my leg hurts," Her voice rose with each word. "I have a headache, a dead woman just attacked me, and,..you want me to calm down!?" Her voice was now threateningly high.

With a quick motion she raised her gun, "Belle! No!" I heard my mother's voice scream as I took a step back. A gun shot echoed in the air, and I threw my hands over my head trying to protect myself. The bullet missed me and hit something else behind me.

I turned quickly to look, just in time to see the same woman from before with the bullet wound still in her chest. This time, the bullet wound was in her head, and her legs gave in as she fell to the ground.

When I turned back around with wide-eyes, Belle was inches from me, "And I can use a gun  just fine." She hissed eyeing me before walking around me.  I stayed still as she disappeared around me, before looking over at my mother who raised an eyebrow before following after her.

"Now what?" My mom's soft voice asked. "Well, we need to find a vehicle since ours is a bit destroyed." I said looking around at the vehicles as I approached them.

"How about that one?" Belle said, pointing at a large, black Chevy Silverado. It was large and I could see the wicked smile crossing Belle's face as she eyed it. "Let's go. then." I said before making my way over to it.

As we neared the truck, I peered into the open door, spotting no one, I motioned for Belle to go around the back. She nodded before turning and slowly making her way towards the truck bed. She pushed herself onto her tippy-toes as she peered into the back before looking over at me with a nod.

I slid the bag of supplies off of my shoulder before tossing it at her. She caught it effortlessly before throwing it into the truck bed. I opened the small, back door on the truck and took the box out of mom's hands before sliding it into the back.

I slammed the back door shut before sliding into the driver's seat. Belle made her way around the truck and sat on the other side of the box in the back as mom slide her way into the passenger side seat.

"Where are we going?" Mom asked a bit nervously. "We need to head back home, I mean, we should get clothes and things, besides, my bow is at home,." Belle said leaning forward and looking at us both.

"She's right, my gun's at home anyways." I replied as I looked down at the keys that hung from the keyhole. "This is the only time I'd say someone's death was a blessing." I mumbled before twisting the keys and starting the engine.
