~A few weeks later.~
"But I don't know exactly what to get a guy who has everything he could ever want!" I yelled.
It was Mid-December and Christmas was coming up. It was a cold, Saturday afternoon and I was at my job, working, and chatting with Nicole behind the counter. It was my last day until after the holiday. She had came to shop but we ended up talking the entire time. I was contemplating what to get Zayn for Christmas. I wanted to get him something he could cherish forever. I gift he would never forget.
"It's not a big deal, just get him some clothes or something. I sure your job would give you a discount." She assured.
"But I don't wanna get him something anyone would give him." I grunted as I put my head in my hands. "I really need to think."
Nicole rubbed my shoulders as she patted my head. "We'll figure something out. Do you wanna come over?" She asked.
"Zayn is gonna pick me up after my shift is over." I turned on my phone to look at the clock. "Which is like, in 5 seconds."
She gave me a hug. "Okay well let's hang out tomorrow." She put on her trent coat as she wrapped her scarf around her neck. "Call me later ley!" She mocked. She knew I hated it when she called me that. I gave her a look.
"TTYL Kiki!" I taunted. I knew she hated it when I called her Kiki. She gave me the finger as I laughed.
I loved my best friend....
As Nicole exited, it of course left the last person I wanted to see at this point, Kelvin. I could see him creepily staring at me as his long, narrow, bobble head, went back and fourth. I was surprised that bolder he called a head din't fall off his neck yet. I cringed as I checked my phone again. Where was Zayn? He was never late.
I could see Kelvin behind me as I jumped. The last time I saw him, he was almost 10 feet away from me. Now he was hovered over me. I turned around to see an ugly wool sweater with the colors of green and red. I still have no idea why he still works here.
He held out a small box wrapped perfectly. "I got you something." He said shyly. I queased out a fake, phony smile. "Oh Kelvin you shouldn't have." I gave him a look. "Really, you should not have."
"I know, but you're so beautiful." He came closer. "Just open it." He begged. He put out his bottom lip as his eyes glistened.
I smiled, giving in. Though I never really liked Kelvin, he was always a gentleman. I opened the box to a beautiful diamond necklace. "Wow!" I exclaimed. "It's beautiful."
He took it out of the box, holding it up. It was a blue diamond necklace with a center stone. He positioned it to my neck to put it on. I held up my hair as his hand brushed against my cheek. "You're very pretty." He said, fidgeting to put on the necklace.
"Thank you." I replied. He fidgeted with the necklace as he was inches away from my body. I could feel his breath on my neck as he came close enough to whisper something in my ear. I pushed him away. "Kelvin I have a boyfriend." I announced.
A guilty expression filled his face as he stepped back. "I know." He said sadly. "Sorry." I nodded as I gathered my stuff. There was an awkward silence. Where the fuck was Zayn?
After a while of waiting, Zayn finally came in. He was in his heavy coat with skinny jeans and a pair of sneakers. I met him to the door, giving him a peck on the lips. I felt his strong hands grip me tight, hugging me and bringing me close. I pulled away, grabbing my coat and scarf. I looked over at Kelvin, waving goodbye.
