~~~ Jake's pov ~~~
I wake you to a sweating, burning up lilly in my arms.
What's wrong with her?
Is she sick?
Is it the babies?
Will she be alright?
Were all questions popping into my head. I decide to shake her and try to wake her up.
She slowly opens her eyes.
She says in a very sick, tired, and concerned voice "Jake what's wrong, is everything ok?"
"Lilly do you feel alright ... your burning up" i ask as i feel her forehead.
"Yeah ... i think I'll be ..." she was cut off by her passing out.
"Lilly babe please wake up"
The hospital isn't far from my house. I pick her up bridle style and put her in my car and take her to the ER
They just took her away when i got there. So i decide to call my mom and Lilly's dad. They both said they will be here as soon as possible.
They get here and we wait for what seems like forever.
A nurse comes back and says "ok Lillian will be ok ... she could have lost the babies if her fever would have gotten to high."
"Are my babies ok"i ask before she could say anything else.
"Yes they are healthy ... but lilly needs to stay in bed ... she shouldn't go anywhere when she goes home ... she almost needs to stay calm and avoid stress" she said.
"Can i see my fiancee"i say trying not to cry.
She said yes and i followed her to Lilly's room.
I couldn't help but smile and tear up when i seen lilly.
~~~ Lilly's pov~~~
I open my eyes and hear beeping.
I notice i am not in my room and look at my surroundings.
"Oh my god Jake ... Jake ... where am i" i holler. Jake comes running in the room.
"Lilly you awake ... how are you" he said running up to me kissing my forehead.
"Im fine ... jake where am i " i ask shaking ... am i in the hospital ... is my babies ok? I thought .
"Your in the hospital ... your temperature was really high and you.."
I cut him off midsentence " did i loose the babies ... why ..." i say starting to cry so much and start breathing heavy.
"Lilly, babe calm down.. " i cut him off again bu yelling " i can't calm down i lost the babies and its all my fault" .
He sits on the side of my bed " lilly look at me ... the babies are fine and even if they weren't it wouldn't be your fault ... Ok Lilly now please calm down stress isn't good for the babies" he said as i even out my breathing.
The doctor walks in ... doctor bri aka my sister ... could not be my doctor any mower because we are related. "Ok lilly i take it you fiancee told you everything? " he asks making a quick 'you beter have' glance at Jake.
"Yeah he did" i say giving Jake a weak smile.
"Ok well you will have to be on bed rest up until you are 7 months ... and by them you won't want to go any where ..." he said and i chuckled. " Ok now if y'all don't mind i would like to do an altrasound on you to check on your little muffins "he said .
"Ok ... can wet know the sex of the babies abd can i go home today" i ask.
" yes you can see the sex of the babies if there in the right positions and i would like you to stay at the hospital for 2 more days so we can keep an eye out on your temperature"
"Ok" i said as the doctor got the machine ready ...
"Ok do you want to hear the heart beats" he asked and jake and i both said yes at the same time.
"Jake ... there heartbeats are so beautiful" i said starting to cry.
I looked at Jake and a tear fell from his face ... his eyes were glued to the screen.
"Yeah they are"
"Ok are y'all two ready to find out the sex of the babies?" The doctor asks.
I look at jake for approval and he looks at me and nods his head and kisses my forehead . "Yes we are" me and jake say in unison.
