[ Chorís Nóima POV  ]

The woods were a nice relief to my hectic morning. I spent hours wandering aimlessly in the green to clear my head. But my mind didn't want to rest, it kept bouncing back to the argument that Chaos had with Ouranía just a day ago.

'There must be another reason behind us being here.' I thought. Chaos never really cared for the gods, so why place us in aide?

Out of all of us, Ouránia was the closet to Chaos; he treated her like she was his own. Which I guess was true. Ouránia never had a family. Her mom died giving birth to her and her dad gave her to Chaos.

'She was always loyal to him and his word.'

I thought about all the whispers that the two always shared. I've never thought more of it, but now there was room for question. What if the words that were being said to one another were more than just a friendly conversation.

"Daddy! Look at what I found!" I heard a young voice exclaimed.

I looked around, I was in a part of the forrest where the satyrs and the nymphs lived. Most likely there were families here also. I made my way to turn around and leave the family at peace but another voice ranged out.

"Juniper, could you take care of Acacia for me?" said a voice I knew so well.

My heart skipped a beat and I dared myself to take a peek through the branches of the trees. A familiar head of curls came to my line of sight.

'Grover...'

Images flashed through my mind of our adventures together; our friendship. Nothing ever separated us from each other. But after Aiden, we snapped so quickly. He looked so joyful and his eyes gleamed with happiness.

'At least your happy now, that's something I could never gave you.' I thought glumly.

Juniper and a little girl came in; their daughter. When I looked closer, I saw that there was a ring on Juniper's left hand.

'They got married?'

They grew up. I felt a sharp pang in my heart. It didn't matter that Grover and Juniper rejected me of their friendship years ago, I've missed years of their life. Grover and Juniper aged along with their life. However, they didn't look that older. I guess being Lord of the Wild came with extra youthful benefits.

'Maybe one day that'll be you. Imagine, a wife, a family...' Whispered a tiny part of me, the hopeful part.

'But I am to broken and cold to be loved.' I thought sadly.

Before I placed the branches back into place and turned around, I took long a look at the trio. It was nice to know that Grover managed to find happiness in his life. I wanted to run up to him and talk to him, just like the old days. The old days where I was contend in my life, where I wasn't cold and heartless. As always though, I am reminded of the fact that my eyes are ice cold blue, the color reflected my soul.

'But maybe one day it can change back.'

I shook my head to get rid of those promising thoughts, they only give me hope in a world that is drained of it. Silently, I said a goodbye to the young family and headed back.

The camp was in full action when I came back. Luke and Jason were in action, training the campers. The Hephaestus's cabin were busy in creating new weapons and armor, Leo and Beckendorf being the front of it. Other members of my team were scrambling around camp also, helping where ever they could.
