I covered the faded bruises that were imprinted on my wrists with my sleeve. The soft fabric of my sweatshirt brushed against my skin. I felt warmth and alive. My feet were stuck in the sand. Knees were pressed against my chest while my hands lay on top of the sand. His presence sat next to me, staring at the calm peaceful waves. The sweet sea breeze made me feel chilly, so I pushed my shelves back down. I wondered if he noticed the scars on my skin. From the corner of my eye, I saw him move, facing me. I did the same, staring into the shiny crystals in his eyes. "How was your punishment?" I asked, ending the silence. He shrugged his husky shoulders. "Missed you," Jacob replied. A tiny smirk rose from his face, showing off his small dimples. I wanted to brush my thumb against his cheek. I missed the feeling I got when my hands touched his skin. I missed the lightening that flew through our bodies at once. It could have been just me. "I missed you too," I said back, curving the sides of my mouth. "I want to tell you about me, but it's really hard to say. I might start crying, but please listen. And please don't pity on me. That's the last thing I want. Promise?" I made clear. "I promise," he spoke back. His voice was toneless, but interested. His hands were inside of each other. My hands wished to be one of them, but I tried to let it not bother me. "It all started eight months ago..." I started to say. A flashback started to play inside my mind...
