Strangers to Love

Chapter 4

Those eyes bore into my soul as I stood there and stared at him, I am not even sure how long we stood there for. It felt like the whole world just melted away and only the two of us were left on the planet, the birds were chirping and the breeze was blowing slightly, but nothing else could cloud my vision of the man that stood in front of me. He was amazingly handsome. His jaw line is strong, with high cheek bones, his facial hair was just starting to grow back in, looked like he hadn't shaved in about a day or so. His hair is long, just past his collar, and the nicest shade of dirty blonde. That was all my vision would allow me to see at this moment in time, I wanted to explore every inch of his body, but I couldn't tear myself away from his eyes. As we stood there, he licked his luscious lips and looked like he was about to prance on his pray, that being me. I felt the same, mind you, but this is going to far, I mean, I don't even know the guys name, yet.

I tried to clear my throut several times before I was successful to bring us out of the staring contest that we were in, this gave me a chance to rake his body with my eyes. He was wearing a tight fitting navy blue golf shirt with black dress pants. I could see his pecs and his biceps, and oh, how I wanted to reach out and touch them. Then the abs, oh those were definately touchable abs. I slowly followed those abs, and got lower down to where my eyes really wanted to see, but the dress pants were loose fitting in the front and I didn't get a good view of anything, but leaves alot to the imagination. I have to get a hold of myself here, I don't even know what I am saying.

I opened my mouth to say something, but just as I did, a little blonde girl came up from his right and wraped her body around hottie. "There you are," she said seductively to him, which made me want to vomit. As she said this, she placed her left hand on his chest to steady herself as she got up on her tip toes to kiss him on the cheek. At that moment, I felt my heart break, one piece at a time and fall into a black hole. I saw an engagement ring sparkle in the sunshine on her left ring finger.

"You're engaged?" Was all I could muster to say, I turned around. I started out walking to the house, I meant to walk all the way to the house, but my feet wanted to run, they wanted to run into the forest and my wolf wanted out to run too. I wasn't paying attention as my attention was not on where I was going and I ended up going past the mansion and right to my best friend, Giselle's house. I needed her more then anything right now.

As the tears let themselves out of my eyes, I stood on her porch as she reached the door, she broke through the door, "Oh my Nat, what is wrong?"

I couldn't say anything, she led me to her porch swing and sat me down, and just held me as I cried. I am not sure how long I was there for, but it must have been a while as my mother came looking for me and Dallas came storming out of the house looking for Giselle. I took some deep breaths as I was now surrounded by people and managed to compose myself. Giselle wanted to know what was wrong, but I wasn't ready to tell my mom yet. I knew that as soon as I tell Giselle, she is going to tell Dallas, which is fine with me. But my mom will make a big thing of it, and I am not ready for that, I mean, I just met the guy.

"Tashi, what is wrong? Why did you just run off like that?" My mother inquired.

"Nothing mom, just not feeling good. I will be back in a few, Giselle wanted me to help her with the babies room for a minute." I lied.

"Ok," she said, not buying it, "are you going to be ok to shoot today?"

"I'm not sure mom, I'll come and find you in a bit."

With that she left the porch, Giselle gave Dallas a knowing look and he retreated back into the house. Then she turned to me, "ok, spill it, you don't lightly lie to your mother."

"He's my mate..."

"Who?" She looked confused.

"The alpha of the visiting pack, he's my mate, and he is...he is..."
