First Part is up- Woo hoo! Dedicated to @VidaliaETommo for her sweet messages...Thanks!
Harry ~ "Bye, Harry. Love you," you said before giving him a quick kiss on the lips. You had your bag over your shoulder and your jacket and shoes on ready to leave.
"Where are you going?" he asked, shocked that you were leaving. He turned the gas off and took the pan off the stove.
"I'm going out with your mother. I'll be back soon, promise." You told him, opening the door.
"I just made you spicy chicken! You practically begged me to make it for you! What am I supposed to do with it now?" He put his hands on his hips and cocked his head to the side.
"I'm sorry! I forgot I had plans!" You told him innocently, shrugging your shoulders. You moved so you were halfway out the door.
"This better not happen again young lady, or you're grounded!" Harry joked, turning his back to your and crossing his tattooed arms over his chest.
"I love you!" You said just before you closed the door, quietly giggling at your husband of 1 year. You had a quick drive the the restaurant you were meeting Anne at. When you arrived she was already there, a cup of tea in front of her on the table.
"Hey, Mum," you said as you slid into the booth across from her. Although Anne was Harry's mum, she had insisted the day Harry told her about your engagement that you call her mum. She lived up to her title, treating you like her own flesh and blood.
"No, no, stand up. Let me give my favorite daughter-in-law a hug," she said, standing with her arms open. You groaned, not wanting to stand back up again. But you did.
"I'm your only daughter-in-law," you said as she embraced you.
"And that makes me love you even more!" She squeezed you tighter, and you yelped out in pain. "Oh my God! Did I hurt you? I didn't think I hugged you that tightly, did I?"
"No, no. My boobs have just been really sore for some reason lately," you told her as the both of you sat back down at the table.
"Really? Why?" Anne asked, her head cocked to the side and a questioning look on her face. The corners of her mouth were pulled up ever so slightly, almost like Harry does when he knows something you don't.
"I don't know. They've been a bit sore for about a week now and I don't know why." You admitted. She just smiled knowingly with her chin resting in her hands. While you looked over the menu, you felt her eyes on you. You looked up and she continued staring at you.
"What?" you finally asked, dropping your menu on the table.
"Are you pregnant?"
"What! No!" you said back, defending yourself, though you sounded a bit fake, as if you were lying. She pursed her lips, urging more information out of you. "Okay, fine, I've also had a few cravings here and there, but that doesn't mean anything."
"Okay, I guess you're right- but... how late is your period?" Her knowing tone kept pulling information out of you. Even if you didn't want to tell her something, there was just something in the way she talked to you that made you spit it out. It had always been that way with Anne.
You counted on your fingers, miscounting then counting again. "Uh...I think I'm almost a week late?"
"Oh, I'm going to be a grand-"
"Shhhhh! Shush! We are in a public place!" you whisper-yelled at her, and she quickly covered her mouth with her finger tips. Even with your view obstructed you could still see her huge smile. "But no, it's not possible because I took a pregnancy test last week and it was negative. So..."
