Chapter 20

Sehun's POV

I looked at my reflection in the mirror one last time. This is it Sehun. Be calm and carry this out right. I don't know how or when but my thought drift to Suzy. How I already miss her. And worried that those men won't get her. Of course I'll still be keeping an eye on her so those assassin men won't get her. I just want to lay low and see if they'll still show up. I still don't understand why they want her though. Is it because of me? Did some of Park Chanyeol worker found out about me and tries to take her because I'm well...close to her or she knows my secret. Ughh! What am I thinking, nobody knows that except her and me, right? Yeah that's right.

Someone knocked on my door and D.O appeared. "Hey bro. You ready?" I nodded and we went out to see a limo with Kai in it.

"Remember, act calm and enjoy tonight." Kai said as we set off.

~~At the Ball~~

Kai and I walked in up to the red carpet when a man...wait, our school principal Yoon Suho.

"Sehun, this is my friend that I've told you about. Mr. Yoon is the one we get to come to this celebration. And I'm sure you already met him." Kai said gesturing toward principal Yoon. I shake hands with him, "Good evening Principal Yoon, and thank you for inviting us." I smiled and glance at Kai to ask if he knows what I'm doing here; Kai shook his head slightly indicating that principal Yoon does not know.

"Well then enjoy tonight for South Korea new history, I'll just go and check on my close friend Jong Dae." Principal Yoon dismiss himself. We went around greeting people for a few minutes when D.O came up to us out of nowhere. I didn't know he was here.

"Chanyeol is going to make his speech now." he informed Kai. On cue the light went dimmed and a spot light was focus on a mini stage when Dr.Ying went up and greeted everyone and start introducing the robots they've worked on. I went to stand next to D.O and whispered, "What are you doing here?" He rose an eyebrow at me and smiled.

"Why? Can't I be here?" He replied.

"No, what I mean is are you helping me out or are you on a mission? Or just simply a bodyguard for Kai tonight?" I whispered back. D.O shook head slightly. I was about to ask him more when Kai tap me on the elbow. I immediately look up at the stage, and anger started boiling in me. Chanyeol was walking up the stage smiling brightly in his black suit and greeted the audience.

"Well, it' great to be here tonight with all of you guys. To celebrate an important event in South Korea's history. As you may know we have been working with this project for some years, and I just want to thank my crew for the hard works they've been through." I zone out as he talked about the proud works he made. Him smile like he's the most generous person in the world building some robots to protect his people makes me sick in the stomach because they don't know what he did. My thought goes back to when I searched about my parents' death. The horrifying photos of them still haunt me today. I just can't believe the fact that Chanyeol murdered my parents just to become the CEO. For what?! Money? Just thinking about it makes me angry. Kai put his hand on my shoulder trying to calm me down. I took a deep breath in. Chanyeol finished his speech and the audience clapped as he stepped down from the stage.

"Now." Kai said as I headed toward Chanyeol. He was talking and laughing with other important men and women. As Chanyeol turned around to refill his drink, I stood there and fake smiled at him. I could tell he was startled and a bit creeped out as well but tried to remain calm.

"Oh hello there son. You startled me for a second." He said smiling.

"Oh sorry Mr.Park, I didn't mean to do that. I just want to say hello to you. I've always wanted to meet you." I replied ecstatically. He smiled back as we walk to refill his drink.

"Well here I am, and I'm glad to meet new people. So who did you came with if you don't mind me asking." I took a sip of water to calm my nervousness and anger before replying.

"I came with my father, but he disappear somewhere. I saw your speech and Mr.Park I have to say, it was really lovely. How you thought of your people and being generous. I'm a fan of yours by the way. I've always wanted to be like you." Chanyeol nodded and smiled as he sip his drink.

"Well that's very nice of you to say that Mr...."

"Oh sorry sir, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Sehun. Kim Sehun." I smiled as I reached out my left hand to shake hands. The moment our hands made contact, I secretly put a tiny tracking device on his watch as we shook hands.

"Right Sehun. And don't call me sir, just Mr.Park's alright. So shall we take a sit?" He smiled and gestured toward a table. I followed him keeping my fake smile on. We took our sit.

"So Sehun, is there something you would like to ask me?" He asked. I gave him an awkward chuckle.

"Well, I just wanted to talk about your project on X." He nodded and gestured me to continue.

"And Dr.Ying said he'll be creating another different type of X to do the human's job. Is there any other different X you have in mind or think of creating a new project?" Chanyeol seem to think a bit.

"Well to be honest with you, I don't have any other different type of X I want to create. After working on the X, I'm currently working with Dr.Ying on another X, you know the one that'll do the human's work. That way, the people won't suffer much."

"What about criminals?" I asked causing him to look up at me.

"You know if the robot you're going to create taking over the human jobs than criminal is one right? Doing the police job." Chanyeol nodded.

"Yes yes, of course." He said.

"Good, because I really want our country to be and feel safe. I hope your robots catch all the criminals, especially the murderer ones." I spoke the last word slowly, staring intently at his eyes, which he avert his eyes away from mine.

"Um, yeah of course, especially those one. We don't want them roaming the cities taking people's lives." He said and shifted from his seat. I could tell he's uncomfortable so I tried to change the topic.

"I thought it'll be a more formal party. You know with only very important people." I said looking around the place. Chanyeol chuckled and I could feel the tension at ease.

"Well it is a formal celebration. I want invite some important local people and told them to invite other people they know as well. I guess they chose people who are mature to come to this party."

"Yeah I guess so. I mean I didn't even think I'll be able to talk to you, because you are a very very important man and I'm just a teenage boy." Chanyeol shook his head and smiled. Just then a man came up to him and whispered something in his ear. Chanyeol looked serious and then nodded. He looked back at me and smiled.

"Well it's a great pleasant to meet and talk with you Sehun, but I'm afraid I have to go now. Got a call from someone." He said as he stood up. I follow his action.

"No, thank you for talking to me. And it was nice meeting you too sir." I said as we shook hands.

"Well goodnight and enjoy tonight." He said before leaving.

"Yeah...goodnight." I said without smiling as his facing back from me. Just then I felt as if someone was watching me. I glance around to see the man who came up to Chanyeol a while ago. He was intently watching me until he realise I was staring back at him which made him look away quickly and walk away. I look up to see Chanyeol and Dr.Ying and another man walking into a room.

"Have you put the tracking device on him?" Kai said through my ear piece.

"Yeah I got him. But I didn't get to put the other one yet though. He's upstairs with Dr.Ying and another man." I replied.

"Good, well go and get it done. We only have 10 minutes left. Hurry."

"Okay..."I replied hesitantly because it's only 8:30pm and the party doesn't finish till 10pm, but I won't question Kai.

"And Sehun."

"Yes."

"Good luck, and I'm proud of you." I stood there for a moment after I heard the beep sound indicating that Kai has turned his earpiece off. I smiled before heading up to the room Chanyeol went in.
