ALYSSA'S POV
June came and went. The month seemed to pass by slowly but it probably felt like that because we were stuck at his house the entire time. Our parents called once a week to check up on us. The only person I was getting worried about was Tia. According to her parents, she hasn't talked to them since she left for the airport. I've called everyday but I always got her voice mail. This is so not good.
My thoughts were interrupted by a noise. I glanced at the clock on the nightstand near my bed. I groaned when I saw the red digital numbers. It was midnight so I was staring at the dark ceiling for three freaking hours. Sleep just doesn't seem to come to me since the stalker came along.
I heard another noise so I got up from my bed and headed for the door. I walked down the hall and followed the noise. If Landon can't sleep then he could do other things like read a book. Some people were trying to sleep even though they seem to be wide awake.
I froze when I saw a tall figure walk out of the dark kitchen. Landon would have turned on a light in case he walked into something right? I quietly walked down the rest of the hallway. When I walked into the living room, the intruder walked out of it. I looked around the dark room and tried to find some thing to attack the intruder.
For all I know it could be my stalker and it looked like he was heading upstairs. He could be going up there to kill Landon before he came for me. When there seemed to be no suitable weapon anywhere, I decided to head for the front door so I could tell the officers watching the house that someone seemed to have broken into the house.
When I got outside, it didn't take long for me to find the police car. It was parked right across the street from Landon's house. I ran towards the car, not caring that I was barefoot. The two officers immediately got out of the car and met me half way.
"What's the problem?"
"Someone is inside the house and I think they're going to hurt Landon."
The two guys ran towards the house with me right behind them. They barged into the house and I pointed upstairs before they could ask where Landon and the intruder was. They instantly ran up the stairs and told me to stay downstairs. I wanted so badly to follow them to see if Landon was going to be okay.
A few minutes later, I heard a commotion upstairs. It sounded like there was a fight going on. Was the intruder trying to escape? I didn't know what to do if they managed to escape the police and ran back downstairs.
"Get off me! I didn't do anything wrong!"
That voice sounded familiar. Did that mean he was my stalker? It didn't make sense though. He was suppose to be gone all summer. What if that was a cover up so no one would suspect him?
"What are you doing? That's my best friend you're arresting officers!"
"We're just doing our job. He is accused of breaking in and harming you."
"Aly! Where are you?!"
Oh crap. He sounds angry. Does that mean John wasn't the stalker? If not, I'm in so much trouble right now. I ran up the stairs and headed for Landon's bedroom, which was easy to find since the light was on. If I didn't have to face a pissed off Landon, the scene before me would have made me laugh.
One officer was on top of John, holding his hands behind his back. The other officer was holding back Landon, who was apparently struggling to get free. When I cleared my throat, all eyes were on me. This is bad.
