I was driving down the street when out of nowhere a green light appeared in front of me and disappeared under the bumper of my car.

"Shoot!" I cried jumping out of my car and running behind it. On the ground laid a man glowing in green lights.

"Wow." I said kneel next him and pulling out my phone dialing mine one one.

"Stop!" The man yelled and I dropped my phone. He smashed it quickly with some sort of power made bammer and tried to sit up.

"Why did you do that! You need help!" I cried and he shook his head.

"I don't need medical attention I'm fine." He said trying to sit up again. I smiled at him and helped him sit up. He looked at me and smiled.

"Do you want to be like me?" He asked out of nowhere and I looked at him shocked.

"What is it?" I asked when he held out a green ring.

"It's give you powers to protect yourself and help protect the world. Join me and help defeat the Villians." He said charming like and I couldn't help but think how movie like this was. I looked at the ring and at my car. Ten minutes ago I was heading to my work I had no place no meaning. This was my chance to have a choice and have meaning. I looked back at him and he was hovering above the ground. I smiled reached up and grabbed his hand. We sored above the clouds and through the air together and I knew now I was a green lantern. Zoe Williams, no longer a normal Metropolis woman but I was now Emerald.

"Watch out Villians of Coast City here I come!" I yelled and Green Lantern laughed at me.

"Let's go see the others." He told me and we flew off towards Metropolis.
