I sat in the cold room, across from Gothams greatest mad man. He smiled his usual smile but didn't crack any smart jokes. This wasn't like Joker to act, he never went twenty seconds without saying something and laughing. He also turned himself in so I was very observant of him, he could be pulling another stunt like Arkham so I wasn't taking any chances. I made sure I was the only one other than James Gordon, a very trusted friend of mine but still he wasn't allowed to come in to talk to Joker he was only allowed to come in and check him.

"Why so serious Joker?" I asked and he laughed and smiled wider.

"I was just thinking about last time I turned myself in, almost got away with your town Bats." He laughed and I maintained my strong posture. He was in a straight jacket tied to a gurney but I still felt as if he was a threat and very dangerous. I made sure the doors could only lock on the outside for other safety.

"Joker this is not a laughing matter, where's Harley?" I asked and his smiled faded once more and stared towards me but didn't seem to be staring at me at all.

"Harley? Why she's not around anymore." He said looking me in the eye with a frown on his face. He didn't crack or smiled or anything, this was not like Joker.

"What happened? What do you mean she's not around?" I asked him and he growled.

"Bane, he's at the Gothom docks hiding out. Ask him these qeustions." He said but I shook my head and looked at the one-sided glass window.

"What happened, Joker? I need to know." I told him and he sighed and his nostrils flared in anger. He shook in his gurney and I stood watching him.

"Let me out of this and I'll tell you the whole story." He said still not smiling. I stood there a few second before walking to the door and nodding. The door cracked open and keys were handing to me. I unlocked the pad locks holding Joker to the gurney and untied the straight jacket. He didn't say anything as he walked off the gurney and sat in the chair, he grabbed the cuffs and hooked them to his wrist waiting for me to sit. I was shocked but didn't show it as I sat across from him and he looked at his hands. In them he held a piece of paper. I looked closer to see it was a photo, a photo of Harley.

"I stole this from her desk the first day we met, the first interview I had with her." He started and I listened.

"She was so sweet and innocent back then. It was difficult to change her, but when she finally agreed to join me it was all worth it. She was a great companion. I even fell in love with her Bats. I found it my job to protect her and keep her safe, and then everything happened at Arkham. Rumors went around that she and Bane were starting a team against me and I let my anger take hold of me. Croc... he told me everything. He told me about my men joining them and how they stole the weapons for this new team. I immediately took it out on Harley. I should of known, the way she looked at me and the way she spoke. It was all a lie but by the time I figured it out, it was too late. We were at the storage yards in storage number 2673. I had my men carry her in and throw her in a tank. We locked her in there and turned the water on. I should of stopped when she began to talk, I should have heard her out. She told me so much, she told me she loved me and that I was the only thing she ever loved and lived for. I shook my head and turned when the water reached her chin. I thought she was lying, it was all a lie. I turned when she began kicking and thrashing and looked her in the eyes. She stopped struggling and watched me. She even smiled, at me as if trying to tell me it was okay. It only lasted a few minutes before the air she was holding escaped and she became just a body in a tank of water. I tried to get her out though. I called for one of the men and took their gun, I hit the tank until it burst and she floated out. I held her and yelled telling them to get help or get someone but they didn't want to go to jail so they didn't. I remember holding her in my arms, she was cold and her eyes were still open, she was staring into my soul or maybe at the sky. I couldn't tell but I left her there and came straight here. I know they lied about her and I still killed her Bats. I killed my true love and for that I hope I get the death sentence, I told you where Bane is and Killer Croc too. There together and will do anything to get to me. I don't know what I did but I hope they do get to me." He looked at me tears in his eyes and sighed.
