chapter eighteen

Leah's P.O.V

Harry was at a meeting with his band mates today to discuss tour dates, which meant I was home alone with Darcy. 

I was currently sitting on the couch with her in my arms watching an episode of 'Glee'.

"You see that guy called Sebastian there? We don't like him. He's a meanie." I told Darcy, even though I knew she didn't understand a word I said.

When I was about halfway into the episode, the doorbell rang. 

I got up from the couch- still carrying Darcy- and walked over to the door. I opened it with my free arm and was shocked to see Kylie standing outside the door. 

"Kylie?" I said. 

"Yes, it's me." She replied. "Listen, I need to talk to you. Do you mind if I come inside?" 

"Um, sure, come in." I said and stepped aside. 

We walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. I laid Darcy- who was beginning to fall asleep- in my lap. 

"What did you wanna talk about?" I asked her. 

"Well, I just want to explain what you saw that day after ultrasound." She replied. "You see, Harry needed to ask me something about you. He said that since I was your closest friend, I would probably know how to help him. I really can't tell you what it was, Leah, but just trust me when I tell you that I would never make him cheat on you."

"Don't worry, I trust you." I replied. "Harry explained most of it too. I'm only a little bit upset that he lied to me, but I'll get over it." 

"So you forgive me?" She asked and I nodded. "Thank you, Leah." 

I looked down at Darcy- who now had fallen asleep. 

"I see you had your baby." Kylie said. "She's cute." 

"I know. She's my whole world." I replied. "My whole life changed after she came around, but it's changed to the better." 

"I'm glad to hear that." She said. "But there's something else I need to tell you, Leah." 

"What is it?" I asked. 

"Chad got offered a new job, so we're moving. He said he wanted me to move with him." She said. "We're not moving, like, only to a new house here in London though. We're moving all the way to Washington." 

"To Washington?!" I exclaimed, making sure not to wake Darcy. 

"Yes, to Washington. And I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier, but I was just too scared you were mad at me." She said. 

"But, when are you leaving?" I asked. 

"In three days." She replied. 

"So soon?" I said. "You promise you'll visit, right? And I'll come visit you too."

"Deal." She said back smiling.

Kylie left about an hour later. We spent most of the time playing and cuddling with Darcy, and we also watched a few episodes of 'Modern Family' on netflix. 

She left because she still had a lot of packing to do, but she promise she's stop by before she left. 

After Kylie left, I woke up Darcy from her nap and fed her a bottle of milk. She gladly drank her milk, even attempting to help me hold up her bottle. 

About two hours later, Harry came home. Darcy was currently laying on her play mat on the floor, smacking her hands into the toys hanging above her. 

"Hey, babe." Harry gave me a kiss before sitting down on the floor next to Darcy. "She's getting so big already." 

"I know." I agreed smiling. "So, how did the meeting go? Did you come to an agreement on the tour dates?" 

"Yeah, we did." He said. "The first concert is gonna be here in London in five months, so you and Darcy are welcome to come and see us. And I also made sure we don't have a show on her first birthday, and that means I can be home and spend it with you and her." 

"So, the tour starts in just five months?" 

"I know it's short notice, but we haven't done a tour in over a year due to our baby. But, I'll try and come home every time we got a few days off, alright? I don't want my daughter to grow up without her dad around. It's gonna be horrible being away from you two. I'm gonna miss you so much." He said and gave me another kiss. 

"I'm gonna miss you too, Harry." I replied. "I'm gonna send you daily updates on her when you're away, okay? Then you can watch her grow even if you're thousands of miles away. And we'll FaceTime you." 

"Sounds like a great plan." He said. "I can just imagine how it'll be like getting new pictures of her as she's growing up. I really can't wait to see her smile for the first time, and when she can finally hold her head up on her own. Soon enough she's probably be rolling around on the floor and laughing. I'm really not looking forward to missing out on all that." 

"Harry.." I sighed. "It's your job and there's nothing you can do about it. I'm also sad that you have to go, but just imagine how it'll be like when you see her again after months of being away from her." 

"I'm looking forward to that. Although I'm not really looking forward till the day I leave London." He said. "Make sure you'll keep her safe." 

"Don't worry, Harry." I said. "She's my daughter too and I wouldn't do anything to hurt her. I'm gonna make sure she's a healthy little girl." 

Harry glanced over at Darcy, who now had fallen asleep again on her play mat. Her hands were formed into a fist like she always does, and her mouth was left open. 

"She's so beautiful." Harry said. "She's just like a beautiful mixture of us two, and she's all ours."

only a few more chapters, but i've already planned out book 2 and book 3 ;)))) so yeah.. two more books after this one that will be the sequels xxxxxxx
