"Come on Ashton you're going to miss the bus!" My dad bellowed from downstairs.

My two suitcases was already packed but I was still looking for some clothes to wear today. I scanned the floor and picked up a red Polo shirt and grabbed a pair of jeans off the bed and slid on my black and white Nike running shoes. My room was a mess but I wasn't too worried about it. Ima be gone for the whole summer anyways.

When I trudged downstairs in the kitchen with my suitcases my father and mother was sitted at the island and both had very angry expressions. "You was supposed to be ready thirty minutes ago and look at that hair!" My mother complained. "This summer camp is going to be a very life changing experience for you Ashton and you can't even take it seriously."

I shrugged to hungry to care. The smell of pancakes and eggs made my stomach grumble. "Can I have something to eat?" "No!" They said in unison.

"They will feed you at the camp!" My mother said. Then as if on key we heard the horn of the bus that was taking me away for the whole summer. My father stood up and grabbed one of my suitcases. "Come on I'll walk you outside."

When we walked outside the yellow bus was parked right in front of our house and it had a banner on the side that read CAMP DEWBERRY in big blue letters. I also noticed that all the windows were tinted black. The doors to the bus opened and a bald middle aged man with a blue T-shirt that read I'm a proud counselor of Camp Dewberry and shorts small enough to fit me.

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Mr. Silver! I am truly honored to be in the presence of you sir! I'm Dennis Centrino the assistant head counselor." The counselor said walking over to my dad and shaking his hand. "And this must be Ashton?" Dennis said gazing at me."It's nice to meet you." He turned his attention back to my father. "Now Mr. Silver I know this is an intermediate camp but before this summer is over with we promise your son will know the basics of Aura and elemental control by the end of the summer! Now come on Ashton it's time to go." My father took a deep breath. "I guess this is goodbye for two and a half months."

"Don't worry dad I'll make you and mom proud!" "Come on Ashton. The other kids are waiting to!" Dennis was obviously impatient. He grabbed both of my suitcases even the one in my hand and headed towards the bus and I was right behind him.

"Don't forget to call!" My mother screamed coming out the door. I waved goodbye and the bus doors closed. When I gazed at the seats and the kids in them I felt more out of place then I ever been. The bus was filled of what looked like juvenile delinquents. They all wore blue Camp Dewberry T-shirts but that's not the strange thing. Most of them looked like they were seventeen and sixteen but I was only fourteen and I thought that was the age limit my mother told me. Some of the kids even had facial hair, tattoos and facial scars.

Dennis was sitting in the first seat and a cardboard box was sitting opposite of him. He reached in and passed me a camp shirt. "Find anywhere to sit and put that on over your regular shirt!"

I scanned the seats again and found an empty seat towards the back of the bus. I quickly hurried to my seat and plopped down next to the window. The bus engine sputtered for a bit and then finally started

The moment the bus pulled off from my house the kid in front of me turned around. He had short brown hair and his face was decorated with freckles but he had the same eye color as me:blue.

"Hey I'm Franklin Robinson but everyone calls me Frank and you are?"

"I'm Ashton Silver." I said extending my hand out to shake his. That was the worst mistake I could've made this whole trip.

Frank talked to me about a third of the whole bus ride. He talked about Pokemon, how he got shoplifting from Walmart, the NHL, how he thinks George W Bush planned the 9/11 attacks and so on.

He finally stopped talking when he realized we were on a dirt road surrounded by the forest. "I think we're almost here." After traveling on the dirt road for fifteen minutes we finally reached a big wooden sign that read Welcome To Camp Dewberry
