My dad pulled into my school's car park before quickly kissing me on the forehead and saying the usual goodbye and I hope you have a nice day. I got out and threw my rucksack on my back, letting out a yawn because mornings were the bane of my life, everyone that knows me well enough knows I'm not a morning person. Slamming the door behind me and saying bye to my dad through the open window, I began to walk away, heading towards the spot where my friends usually waited for me. I was usually at school before the first class so when I'd get to my friends, we wouldn't have to wait for anyone else.
The spot where my friends waited was just around the corner from where my dad dropped me off, as I walked round the corner I saw everyone; that being Nakitta, Colleen, Luke, Calum and Michael.
As I caught sight of them, I quickly walked towards them before giving them all a hug.
"So, did you have a nice holiday?" Luke asked me.
"Yeah I did, missed your ugly mug though," I sarcastically replied, giving him a wink.
"I thought for a moment my best friend might have become nicer over her holiday, but I was wrong," he laughed.
"You know I'm joking! I had a nice holiday, you can't really see my tan-" I began before being stopped.
"Oh, Emily, we all know you can't get a tan" Nakitta added in.
"Well, yeah I know that, but I genuinely got a tan this time!" I exclaimed.
"You sure it's not fake tan?" She winked.
Fake tan? Pssh! I don't use the stuff. By the time the conversation ended we were inside walking to our first class which was science, another bane of my life. I've never been good at science, runs in the family. My mum and dad were never good at science, nor is my brother.
"Oh, Em! Need to ask you something during science so make sure you sit next to me," Colleen said, nudging me and knocking me out of a daydream. Nodding, I said bye to everyone as they all headed off to other classes.

About half an hour into the class, Colleen remembered about the thing she was going to ask me.
"Tomorrow, there's a party at Josh's," she began.
"Josh's?" I asked.
"Friend of mine, known him all my life, so yeah, he's having a party tomorrow and he's invited me and told me to bring some friends, so I'm asking you if you want to come," she concluded.
Having a quick think about it, I agreed to going, I asked a few more questions like where it was and who was going before giving her an adament yes. I haven't been to a party for ages so I'm quite up for it tomorrow, I'll need to find a nice outfit when I get home and sort it out with my mum.
From behind me, I felt something hit me from the back of my head so I turned around, I saw Luke laughing to himself with Calum with loads of screwed up paper in the shape of a ball. Two can play it at this game. I turned around and ripped a bit of paper from the corner of my notebook and screwed it up into a ball and turned around and threw it back at him. Childish, I know. I sometimes forget I'm 16.
Once I threw it, I heard my name being yelled making me pratically jump out of my skin.
Slowly turning around, I saw an angry Mr. James stood in front of me. I heard some laughs from behind me as I just saw my teacher giving me such an angry glare.
"I will see you after class Miss Hammond!" Mr. James yelled.
Luke 1 - Me 0
Just as he finished his sentence, the school bell rang signaling the class had ended. Great.
Everybody began to stand up and put everything in their bags, I did so myself but a bit slower knowing I had to stay back.
"Someone's in trouble," someone laughed behind me.
Turning around I saw it was Luke.
"Oh shut it, you'll get it back soon," I exclaimed.
"I don't think I will, I always win," he winked.
"Yeah of course, and I'm Barack Obama, you've won this time," I replied.
After that everyone began to leave and I was left to get a shouting from Mr. James.
