A distant ringing slowly awakes me. The hardness of Gabriel's torso pushed into my back, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist and his face buried snugly in my neck. Groaning I push my face into the pillow and hear Gabriel sigh onto my neck and settles again, his hand on my abdomen tightens slightly pulling me closer. I could relax back into this familiar coziness and warmth but the door bell becomes persistent.
Breaking away from Gabriel's firm clench is close to unthinkable, so I tentatively peel my body from his, detaching his arms from around my midriff and shifting towards the edge of the bed, being sure not to disturb him. Then I quietly stand and study him for a while. His hair is everywhere, his almost girly long lashes, the faint crease across his brow and his full lips slightly parted. My devastating man looks angelic and the thought that every time I see him will be the last time, makes pain slice through my heart.
I could remain motionless forever just watching him sleep but the door bell disturbs me. I frown to myself-who could have come so early? I find my clothes neatly folded and set on the divan-Gabriel must have brought them-I grab them and quickly pull them on.
On a resigned exhale, I pad out of the room and trek down the stair; it takes me a litter longer than usual with a sore ass. Finally upon reaching the door and grabbing the knob I fling it open and to my mild surprise I see Larry leaning against a town car, arm crossed, ankle crossed with his signature wraparounds.
"Came to drop the bag and some groceries." He pushes his body away from the car, opens the car's door and pulls out a duffle bag and a bag of groceries. They shutting the door, he strolls over casually until his hulking frame is towering over me. "S'all good, Tony?"
"Uh... Yes." I blink as my sleepy mind registers him and I smile. Little uneasy but still. "Please come in." I open the door wide and let him enter.
"I didn't want to come so early. Mr. Blackburn wanted me to make it as soon as possible." He says in his usual rumbly voice as he walks past me into the living room.
I look towards the ceiling and mildly shake my head. "He is always so impatient." I huff and kick the door shut with my foot. "But thanks for the groceries."
Larry has a clear look of embarrassment on his mean face. "Yes he is. Where do I keep them?" He turns his head looking around.
"I might strangle him." I mutter shuffling myself over to Larry, take the groceries from him then move towards the dining table put the bags on it.
His eyebrows appear over his wraparounds. "Take it easy on him," he says seriously.
"Larry" I start in a matter-of fact tone. "I'm trying and failing at every level. I wanted to stay away for few days but he can't let go of his neurotic ways so he thought it was wise to follow me and..." I pause -he fucked me and mated with me-and divert my eyes downward as heat rises up my cheeks. "So it's bit difficult for me to take it easy on him."
He laughs a deep, rolling belly laugh, pulling a chair and settling his giant frame into it. "I like that you keep him wrapped around your fingers." He chuckles, reaching under his glasses and wiping under his eyes. I've never seen this big, menacing beast so vivacious. It makes me smile, thoughts of challenging boyfriend/fiancé/mate and non-consensual mating soon making way for the laugh.
I turn around unpacking, taking out a jar of coffee, sugar, carton of eggs, carrots, capsicums, tomatoes, a jelly bottle, a loaf of bread, a pack of chicken and of course peanut butter.
"If you're not in an hurry. I'm making breakfast." I say, but then Larry's face straightens all too quickly, and I'm left laughing alone with wraparounds pointed at me. The sudden change in his expression snaps me right from my hysterical state. "He might get worse. I believe congratulations are in order." He again reaches up and hooks his glasses down with his finger and his dark eyes spot to my neck.
