Song of the chapter: Like I'm Gonna Lose You - Meghan Trainor ft. John Legend

Gabriel leaves early the next morning for a meeting with the council member and promises to be home by afternoon. Smiling I waves at him like a classical trophy husband and watching Gabriel blessing me with my smile as Larry drives the hired Land Rover up the main road. Then like every day my stomach destroys my mood, it turns inside out, filling me with nerves. My stomach dives, nausea rolling through me. Puke rushes up, filling my throat and making me gag. I close the main door and only just make it to the toilet in time to lose what little I'd for dinner last night.

Yuck.

I groan loudly and wipe my mouth with the back of my hand, flush the toilet and stagger over to the sink. Whoa. The man in the mirror looks spectacularly crappy, face too pale and light brown hair sweaty and sticking in all direction. But my green eyes somehow look exceptionally bright. What a hot mess.

"Fuck."

The word echoes around and around the small bathroom, bouncing off the white-tiled walls and beating at my head. This shit shouldn't be happening to me. I don't break laws or do drugs except for fucking a married man, but now he is my man.

Rose's words from last night hiss in my ears. God yeah, the good vibes just flows.

He is born to be mine.

So what I've been knocked up by my ex-playboy, neurotic, possessive, dominating, devastatingly beautiful billionaire and owner of a sex club.

Big deal.

Deep breath.

Okay.

As I pad into the bedroom, I stare unseeing at my skinny jeans, draped on the back of a Victorian armchair. Sure, that will fit me after some time. As in, I can wiggle up the zip halfway and the button is out of the question. The pressure they will inflict upon my belly is a definite no go.

Things are changing so fast. I'm changing. My body is changing. I have three people growing inside of me. Three tiny babies bean-shaped thing made from equal parts of him and me.

Mind-boggling.

Shaking my head, I grab the jean, pull it on, and leave the bedroom.

I putter around the kitchen for a few minutes, debating between eggs or a bagel, and end up having dry toast and a glass of juice. Safe for my stomach, I don't like the idea of barfing any time soon.

I'm on the deck around 10:00am. The sun warm on my face, the soothing roar of the waves, help to settle my mood. I recline back on the lounger. Opening Gabriel's laptop, I boot up the system. I check my e-mail, and as I've doubted there are three mails from Ms Cindy, one from Mikhail and one from the jewellery department of Panache. I go though Mikhail's first. It is from his assistant, asking for a date to fix up a meeting. I quickly give a next week date. Then I go through the report of the jeweller, forward it to my boss and send a copy at Sally's address, after that I completely ignore Ms. Cindy. I already know what I'll read. Then I go to my college's website and quickly write a mail to my department head that I'm dropping out this year. With pregnancy, hormones, and Gabriel's fussing over, I really do not want to sit in the exam hall with a potbelly.
