Chapter 2

Niall POV

He ordered a pint and chugged it in what seemed like one gulp

“Listen kid; don’t ever talk to Leighton again. I’m giving you a warning because you’re new” He paused and stood up walking toward the door “Don’t try it again” He said in his deep booming voice while walking out

I left the pub and started walking home the air was frigid and the wind was blowing hard, I unlocked my front door and went up to my room undressed and jumped on my bed.

“What did I get myself into” I said as I closed my eyes

Leighton POV

I sat in Chemistry waiting for Niall to walk in a sit next to me but when he saw me he stopped in his tracks and walked straight to Liam. What the fuck! That pissed me off no one ever ignored me, I had plans for him.  I looked over at Liam; he looked pleased knowing that I was upset with this.

I heard one girl behind me say “would you look at that? Bitch queen got ignored” and chuckled

 I turned around “Shut the fuck up or I swear I will end you bitch!” I spat at her

The teacher walked in the class and said “LEIGHTON! Enough! Get out, go to in school suspension now!”

I got up and grabbed my things; I looked the girl in the eye letting her know after school she was mine. I walked out of class and started walking toward Louis’ class, I peeked through the window and he immediately came out.

“What’s goin on Leighton?” He said tapping me

“I got kicked out of class”

Louis irrupted in laughter “What did you do now?”

“Some girl was talking about me so I told her I was going to end her if she didn’t shut the fuck up”

Louis’ still laughing said “Did she get the hint” His voice changed becoming serious, “no one talks to us like that.”

“I don’t know but I know she will after school today”

“At a girl” he said as he walked back into his classroom looking back and smiling at me

I walked into the ISS room and Mr. Mitchell said “Welcome back Miss Tomlinson 5 days not being here is your new record well done” he said as he erased my last record of 3 days off the bored and wrote my new one. Then he motioned me to my usual desk.

“whatever” I scoffed as I laid my head on the desk and began texting Harry

Niall POV

“How did they even get into this school?” I asked Liam

“Don’t let them fool you, they all have perfect GPA’s and they can all afford the 60,000 pound a year tuition easily. Zayns sister already has early acceptance to MIT in America, shes only 16 and in our grade.”

I couldn’t believe it how can people so smart be so stupid.

“Is Leighton really going to beat the girl up” I asked looking at Liam then back at the girl, who looked worried

“Yeah definitely, and she’ll make sure everyone can see it” he said with a slight smile as he took a sip from his water bottle and said “I’m telling you bro avoid them!”

“How do you know so much about them?” I asked him

“Umm I dated Leighton remember” He said avoiding eye contact

That made me start to think maybe he was hiding something. Class was over and Liam and I started to walk to our lockers. Out of nowhere Leighton walked up behind Liam shoving all of his books onto the floor.

“What the fuck Leighton” He yelled at her in annoyance

“What have you been telling my friend here Liam” She said as she came and stood next to me placing her arm on my shoulder

“Shut up and get away from me, I don’t have to tell him anything, everyone knows about you” he scoffed

“Watch yourself Payne!”  A familiar loud booming voice said

“Harry fuck off, I don’t have time for you today” Liam spoke completely unfazed by Harry’s size or reputation.

“Ha-ha, still a pain in the ass” laughed Harry then his attention turned to me his green eyes locking on my blue ones “You watch yourself too right” I nodded my head never saying a word as they walked away

I went through the whole day wondering what Leighton was going to do to that girl from our class. The bell rang and I met Liam at the lockers.

“Come on man we gotta go!” He said yanking me by my bag out the school door

We walked a few blocks as did some other people. We turned the corner to enter an empty lot and there they were. Harry Leighton Louis Amelia Zayn Sophia and Jesminda, with a few other people scattered behind them. The girl from our Chemistry class named Karen appeared and walked to meet Leighton.

Leighton stepped forward turned to kiss Harry then walked toward Karen. Karen was about 4 inches shorter than Leighton; she looked up to Leighton, eyes wide. This didn’t seem fair; Leighton was going to pound her.

Amelia stepped in front of Louis and said “Hey bitch, did you really think you were going to get away with talking to Leighton like that?”

“I’m not fucking scared of you whores” Karen spoke in a stiff tone

I looked at Karen surprised as she walked up to Leighton giving her a slight nudge on the shoulder. As soon as she touched her Leighton snapped.

Leighton smashed her to the floor kicking her in the stomach then sitting on top of her.  Karen grabbed Leighton’s hair even ripping some of it out.  Leighton grabbed Karen by the throat and started slamming her into the ground repeatedly. She never even flinched at the fact a chunk of her hair was yanked out.

Harry yelled behind her “That’s it Leighton! Knock her the fuck out!”

Zayn and Louis cheered her on as well, while the girls stood in silence. What kind of fucking people are they? Who enjoys watching this? Who likes watching people get hurt, get brutalized? I turned away not being able to look anymore.

Liam put his hand on my shoulder “you’re going to need to get a tougher skin Niall, they will sniff out your weakness and use it against you” He pushed my shoulder making me turn around

Just as I turned around Leighton stood up getting off of Karen, she was grinning as she turned to walk back to Harrys embrace. She stopped a few feet in front of him turned to look at Karen and said “Now you’ll watch your fucking mouth cunt!” turning to walk back to harry.

Karen lied on the floor blood dripping from her nose, her lip swelling. Leighton and the others turned to walk away.  She rolled over to get up and Liam went over to her “Shh stay down, catch your breath” I walked over to where they were I kneeled down looking back to see where Leighton went.

She was walking through the brush but she paused and turned to look at me, there was something eerie about it, something wasn’t right.

We helped Karen to Liams car and helped her to her house. She was a mess…
