I attempted to follow her, but I didn't know where I was going and I ended up in the gym, right in the middle of colorguard warm-ups. My eyes landed on a girl with wavy, dirty blonde hair, tossing a purple flag.

I walked over to her carefully, skillfully dodging the spinning flags. "Hello!" She stopped twirling her flag and looked over to me. "Oh hi! Are you new?"

I smiled and nodded. "But I'm actually looking for someone," I said, "I was hoping you might know where she went?"

"Of course! I know everyone! what's their name?" She smiled in return.

"Well, that's the thing. I dont know her name. She was about your height with long, blonde straight hair. She had glasses, and green eyes." She seemed a bit confused. "Oh! And she seemed pretty attached to this light pink, leather-bound notebook," I added.

The girl sneered, "The freak?" My eyebrows furrowed and, it being my first day and not wanting to get on anyone's bad side, I nodded.

"I don't know where she is, and honestly, I don't care." I looked down and bit my lip in concentration. "I'm PJ by the way," she smiled, shaking my hand. "Want me to show you around?" I looked up and smiled brightly, nodding. She was actually kind of cute.

She showed me around school after practice. We talked about everything from her family to that mysterious girl I talked to earlier. She didn't seem to like her all that much though. Surprisingly, I slowly became attached to her. In the end, I wound up getting her number, and a date to the movies Saturday.

When the bell rang, we both rushed to our separate classes. It wasnt until that moment did I know how true that mysterious girl was.

                                                                                                                               -Katt's P.O.V.-

I sat in the corner desk, writing in my notebook as a flurry of paper wads and spitballs were being thrown my way.

        "Freak!"

        "Idiot!"

        "Dumbass!"

I held back tears as I continued writing. 'April 12th, 12:04 am, my brother took his own life.  Suicide, gun, point-blank range.. I miss him and I jus-' My writing was cut off.

"What's this?" Niall asked mockingly. "Its it Freak's silly little diary?" His posse behind him laughed.

"Give it back!" I exclaimed, jumping up.

He gasped as he pretended to read a blank page aloud, "Oh my god! Niall is just SO HOT. God, I wish I wasn't such a stupid freak so I could actually be worthy of him!" He laughed and threw my book back on my desk.

I slumped back in my seat and sighed as he went back to his seat with the rest of his friends. As I was finishing up my entry, I saw a figure slip into the desk next to me and scoot a little closer.

"Are you okay?" I looked up and my eyes met a pair of emerald green orbs. I nodded and turned my head back to my work. "What's your name?" He asked quietly, running his hands through his hair.

"Freak," I mumbled under my breath. He looked at me confused. "You want me to call you freak?"

I looked up. "Not that I want you to, but I don't want you getting treated like I do."

He frowned. "Please tell me your name?"

"Katherine, but call me Katt," I sighed. He cracked a smile. "I'm Harry."

I nodded as I heard Niall's obnoxious voice again, "Looks like Freak has a friend!" I shook my head as I stood up, grabbed my bag and my notebook, and walked out into the hall.

        I was going home.
