CHAPTER 10

~CHAPTER 10~

"Melody wait up!" Harry said running to catch up to me. We were just heading to lunch.

"Hey Harry, so about the dance?" I said walking with him down the long halls.

"Oh, I can't wait! It will be the first dance for me here at this school!" Harry said sounding excited. "What are you wearing?"

"It's a secret!" I said smiling.

"What! You won't tell me? Let me guess it's going to match my outfit I told you I was wearing?" He said walking to the lunch line. Today the school was serving soup and salad, so Harry didn't look too excited about eating.

"I can't tell you it's a secret! You have to wait till tomorrow night!" I said smiling.

"Why can't you tell me now? I thought you-" Harry paused.

"You thought I what?" I said grabbing a bowl of soup and a plate of salad.

"I thought you would tell me this kind of stuff!" Harry said grabbing soup and salad.

I giggled. "I would tell you, but..." I said dragging on as I walked out of line and to my usually seat.

"But what!" Harry said slamming his tray on the table.

"I would tell you but Mckenna told me not to. She said it would seem more special!" I said putting the dressing on my salad.

"I see, Mckenna told you not too." Harry said pushing his salad away from him. "Seems like something She'd say." Harry said staring into his soup.

"It's tomato." I said taking a bite of salad.

"What?" Harry said confused.

I giggled. "The soup! It's tomato soup." I said laughing.

"Oh-" Harry was cut off by Mckenna.

"Hello my people!" Mckenna said sitting down next to me.

"Hey." Harry and I said in sync, and then we looked at each other.

"So Harry, are you anxious to see Melody's dress?" Mckenna said with a smirk.

"Yes!" Harry scowled.

Mckenna chuckled. "Thought so."

"What's that supposed to mean"Harry said standing up.

"Oh it's just every guy is like that. It's not just you, don't worry!" Mckenna said laughing. Harry smiled and dumped his tray.

"I'm not hungry!" He said sitting down again. "The food looked terrible!" He said sounding upset. "I wish they were serving tacos!" Harry said looking in the distance and we all began to laugh.

"Well Harry, you better treat Melody right!" Mckenna said pointing at Harry with her fork.

"Melody!" I scolded.

"And I don't wanna see any wandering hands either!" Mckenna said with a smirk.

"MCKENNA!" I shouted.

"And no-"

"He gets it Mckenna!" I said cutting her off knowing what she was going to say.

"I was just going to say kissing. You could get harpies!" Mckenna said eating her salad.

"Mckenna!" I said.

"It's true." She said shooting me a glance. Harry and I looked at each other and we all laughed. "I was glad I had friends like them in my life. But at the same time I was sad I would have to leave them. I watched them laugh and a tear came to my eye but I blinked it away. I wat he'd Harry laugh. I knew I was going to miss him the most.
