The smell of the forest hit Calums nose, as he walked out of his small home to head off on his journey. Today he was going to Dragons Keep to become a full fledged guardian. His dark green eyes peaked out beneath his shaggy black hair as he walked down the thin path towards town. The early summer sun casting strange shadows through the trees as it rose. He summoned his wings and stretched them out behind himself. They were the color of thunder clouds in the Summer with light gray mixed in with near black. With a sigh he let the wings revert back to tattoos on his back.

As he walked towards town wondering why storm said he had to take the train to Komidia instead of simply flying there after he passed the passed the mountains. It wasn't like he had a lot of stuff to carry heck he barely had enough money to pay for the bus fair and the motel in Komidia. Then again storm was usually right about these kind of things so he decided to not worry about it to much. Besides there was more pressing matters he had to deal with like getting some thing to eat before the bus arrived at ten. We walked to the vending machines and got a soda and some crackers before sitting down to wait on the train. The train arrived horn blaring as it screeched to a halt in front of the station. Calum and several others got up to go to the train handing their tickets to one of the conductors as they boarded. Calum sat down near the back of one of the carts and thought about what being in a guild would be like. He remembered the story's that Storm would tell him about guilds how they were a place to find a family. Her story's about great Heroes like Sky, how they made him want to find that a hoard was what Storm had called it a dragons greatest possessions he was going to find them a family the thing he cared about most. No mater what he would do it he promised to himself that he would find something worthy of protecting.
