Calum followed lux to the main guild office.

"Come one we need too get your start up money and then get your supplies." Lux said as she walked in front of him.

"Hold on, start up money?" He's asked from behind her.

"Yeah we give out start up money to new members so they can get on their feet, and stuff ," she said opening the door to the main office. After they had collected Calum's start up lux led him out into town.

They stopped in more stores than Calum could count grabbing all sorts of different items until they were walking out of the last shop. Arms loaded with bags and packages of every size. Calum looked over al lux who could barley see over the pile in her arms.

" Hey short stuff need some help?" He asked as they walked down the street towards her apartment.

"No I got it and stop calling me short I'm letting study at my house you should be nice." She said around the bag that had fallen against her face.

"And I'm very grateful for the elf letting me stay." He said back grinning.

" Ugh just shut up and open the door please." She said as they got to the apartment building. They struggled their way up the stairs until they reach Luxes apartment on the third floor and set everything down in there.

" Hey fairy why do you have to eat I'm starving." Calum yelled from the couch from where he it into something he could sleep on. Which would be tricky because of the what seemed to be thousands of books in the pretty small apartment.

" There some stuff in the fridge but you'll have to cook most likely." She yelled back from the what Calum assumed was the bath room. He walked over to the kitchen and looked in the fridge to see what was there. In the end Calum made himself and lux dinner. He was almost done when she walked out of the bathroom into the kitchen.

" Well look at that the fairy emerges." He said jokingly from by the stove.

" Oh shut up whatcha make?" She asked  as she sat down at the table.

" Well you didn't have much so I just made some eggs and rice since seems to be all you have." He said setting a plate down in front of her before getting his own and sitting across from her at the small table.

" So what the story why did you need to talk to the master and why where you in Komidia." she asked after they had ate. At first Calum didn't answer but after a minute he started to talk.

" I promised my adopted mother storm that when I had turned fifteen I would come to this guild and join as well as relay a message I can't talk about."he said his eyes looking down at the floor

"Okay can you tell me about storm?" She asked. This seemed to cheer him back up.

"Well she is great when I was smaller she would tell me stories and she taught me how to live by myself in the woods by my village. Best of all how can you beat being the son of a dragon."He said with a huge childish grin on his face.

" Wait storm is a dragon!" Lux yelled looking at the grinning idiot in front of her to make sure he wasn't joking.

" Yeah isnt it awesome when I was eight I ran away from home but I got lost in the forest that was by the village. That's when storm found me as a grubby crying kid in the middle of the forest all alone. She tried to take me back to my  family but I didn't want to my dad had died and my mom blamed anyone she could see for it. So storm took me in and raised me for two years then she said she had to leave for a year and when she got back she told me to come here when I was fifteen tell the master my story and then give him a message. She left again after a few months and I haven't seen her since." He said but the grin had become more of a sad smile you get when you remember something that you haven't had for a while.

" Well dragon boy time for you too go take a shower we start your training first thing
tomorrow I only got a week before I need to go on a job again and your coming with me when I'm go." She said starting to wash off their plates.

The next week was spent at the guilds training hall. Lux taught Calum how to control his weapons and keep his wings functioning on long trips. Or Calum was at the main room of the guild talking to the other members and eating by the window which looked out over the cliff the guild sat on. At night he would crash at Luxes house. Which usually meant him watching tv while she would sit on the couch beside him reading. They got very close and it seemed that they had become an inseparable pair which they were.
