Allesandro woke up with a start. His eyes adjusted to the dark as he looked around, alert and alarmed to see the stone walls of a cell instead of the forest where he had grown accustomed to seeing. He sat up abruptly, his senses on high alert as he looked around him for any sign of danger. His ears heard nothing, his nose picked up nothing threatening, but his sense still went into high alert and they zeroed in on a figure that was standing outside the cell.
He jumped back startled, for he had not seen the figure before, when he had woken up, and squinted slightly to make out the features of the figure, that was now striding towards him slowly. As the figure strode forward and into the dim light that was emanating from a torch that was hung from a bracket on the wall of the corridor, outside the cell, he could make out the lean frame of the man, because the figure was definitely a man. His stride was too controlled and too smooth for it to be that of a woman. Plus, no woman would dare be caught dead with a saber hanging down from her belt.
No, this was definitely a man, and the power he held within him recognized him to be one of his own kind. A demon. And a powerful one. So powerful, that he made the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. He inhaled sharply and swore, because there's only one demon who was powerful enough to outmatch him beside Queron and that was-
"My lord!" he stood up, his posture stiff as he bowed low in respect. His head snapped up and met the cold gaze of the Deceiver. His expression one of confusion. "What am I doing here, my lord?" he asked.
The demon lord looked at him, his gaze unreadable. "Your blood lust took over," he said, voice void of any expression.
Allen's frown of confusion deepened. "Blood lust? How-" then in a flash, everything came back to him. His initial fury at hearing Weylyn's news of Micheal of Asthenath finding a human mate, his diabolical plan of killing the human, which, now that he thought about was extremely stupid, and him persuading Elnath and Tanguy into following him...He closed his eyes. By Satan, he would never live this down. Tanguy had been one of his most trustworthy companions. To abuse the fragile trust he had with the sprite, and dragging him into his cunning plans just to get his revenge...he felt ashamed. And that itself was an incredible feat in itself, considering demons do not show emotions that easily.
But strange as it may, he trusted Dragon Quinn to not take advantage of his vulnerable state. Sure, the man was cunning and as sly as they come, but he knew that Dragon would never take advantage of one's weakness. He likes making everyone around him feel weak and he wanted to be the one who make his adversaries weak and make them loose their last spark of hope, but he wasn't low enough to kick someone when he's down. He brings them to their knees but never kicks them to the curb.
He wants to see the hopelessness in his enemies' eyes when they finally realize that they have no way of escape. No way of escaping him. Says it hurts his pride to resort to physical torture when he knows fully well that he can torture them in other ways. That was one of the reasons that made Dragon Quinn dangerous. While most demons and even Satan himself resorted to physical violence, Dragon was more of a strategist. He planned and executed his plans swiftly, and efficiently and he didn't squirm when it came to killing and torturing. Hell, he was the Satan's personal dagger. He was used to violence. But every demon has a element which they excel at harnessing.
For Allesandro, he was a soldier. Battle was his element. He reveled in war and thrived in blood, and death as did his brother but more on a superior level than him, with him being the first born of the family and all.
Dragon was quite different. He likes his hunts and enjoys killing just as much as the next demon, but when it comes to mind games and mental torture? The demon lord was completely in his element.
