The Making of a Flower

Don't apologize for the words you just uttered

Are you so unsure of the value you possess?

Your eyes flutter with indecisiveness

As you glimpse at the world in front of you

So unsure of how to make your own way.

You deny any adulation bestowed upon you

With a sour misconception of yourself that poisons you,

Even to the point where your posture grows to underestimate itself,

And your voice wilts into a soft whisper

From your undeniable feeling of disvalue.

Why do you do such things so willingly, oh beautiful woman?

If only you could open your eyes toward the loveliness that you are.

Come, flutter them open now.

Your eyes only saw darkness,

But now it is dissipating into nothing

As your eyes fill with the brightness of this new morn.

Your cheeks flush with the rouging of flattery

And your lips curve into a smile of bashfulness

As your heart begins to pound with the realization

Of your true and whole value

You are priceless, oh beautiful women.

The unique flow of your mind,

The tale that your eyes tell,

You can finally see clear.

What a delight you can choose to be!

If only you would choose to be -

To relish in your own joy,

To be sure in whom you are meant to be.

Look at how you laugh! The joy I see inside of you

To know that the only eyes you need to be concerned about

Are the eyes that you bestow upon yourself.

Look at yourself with the wisdom of your worth,

Choose to see the things that never fade

Or become insignificant with time.

Choose to carry your own soul,

Never to deny the love from another,

But simultaneously depend on no one's comfort.

Embrace the sinuosity of your body,

Mind and soul.

Find the love you need inside yourself,

And then you will be whole.
