I looked at him and my face dropped. "Excuse me?" He smiled " Calm down cutie I'm kidding, I'm 100% gay". I sighed in relief. " Ok good, cause I am too." " I kinda noticed" he smirked then gave me a quick wink. He turned towards the board and put his headphones in. I admired his features and noticed that he had piercing green eyes that were amazing. He had a sleeve of tattoos going up and down his arm. He was absolutely perfect in every single way possible. I reached over and took a earphone out of his ear, he looked at me as I put it in my ear. It was playing "If these Sheets were the States" by All Time Low. We sat for 10 minutes in total silence then the bell sounded. As we walked out the hallway he handed me his schedule and asked if we had any more classes together. We had English, Calculus, Chemistry, and Music So basically the whole day except 2nd. I walked to my locker and he followed behind. Ashton showed up soon after I arrived. " Hey, Luke. Who is that?" He looked at Michael and smiled. "This is Michael. He's new. And very cute" I said cheerfully. " Hi Michael I'm Ashton, but my friends call me Ash." Michael shook his hand " Making friends is easier than I thought it would be."
He had Career Tech. This period, luckily I pass that class on the way to P.E. I showed him where it was and told him I would meet him back there after class so we can walk to Calculus together.
It was finally lunch time I was with Michael and Ash. We got our food and walked over to our table where Calum, Harry, Louis, Kat, and Matt sat waiting for us. "Sup guys" I said as I sat down next to Ash. Harry looked up from his phone " Who's that?" "Oh that's Michael. Isn't he sexy?" Michael blushed and sat down to. "Very" Harry replied, Louis was quick to hit him. Harry laughed "But not as sexy as you babe". "Michael that's Harry and Louis together they are Larry! They are my OTP." I turned to Calum " And this Asian right here is Calum" he looks at me " I'm not Asian I'm Kiwi. A very cute kiwi" Ashton looked at him " Your my Kiwi" I looked at Michael " That's Cashton" he laughed "Does everyone have a ship name?" I stared at him "Yes, yes except you and I" I winked leaving him speechless then pointed to Kat and Matt " That's Kat and her boyfriend Matt. Together they are forever and always Katt!" Kat waved and asked him where he was from he told us he came from England but he was born in Australia he had to move when he was 5 because his mom got a job in England. He moved back because his mom had been laid off. The bell sounded and everyone went to class. The school day went by pretty fast. When it was finally over I walked outside with Michael and Ash. Ash offered Michael a ride. Michael told Ash his address and it turns out he lives across from me! I might or might not do some serious peeking... When we both got to my house we exchanged numbers and said bye. Thank god my mom was the only one home.
          I ran up the steps and walked inside,  all I saw as I went towards the living room was broken beer bottles then I found my mom on the couch crying covered in blood.... " OH MY GOD MOM ARE YOU OKAY?" I yelled terrified. I ran over to her she looked up " Your dad got mad at me then hit me... He left after that and said he wasn't coming back. I can't believe he's gotten this bad." She was staring at the floor at this point of time. I ran to the bathroom and grabbed the first aid kit. She had a cut over her eye and on her arm along with a few bruises. I bent down next to her an started to clean her up "Mom you can't keep letting him do this to you. You need to call the cops" she looked at me " I can't do that your father is a good man just going through a hard time. I know he loves me and doesn't mean to do any harm" she was literally blinded by love. This isn't the first time something like this has happened. He's even hit me a few times. He can be mad at me all he wants but he has no damn reason to be mad at her.
When I finished bandaging her eye and arm. I decided to clean up all the glass. After that I went upstairs not bothering to eat anything. I laid on my bed. I put my earphones in and listened to music trying to clear my mind. My phone buzzed.

I heard someone yelling over my music then I paused it. My dad was back.... He opened my door "Can you not hear?! I've been yelling your name for the past 5 minutes!" " I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you I had my earphon-" he cut me off "Stop making fucking excuses it's all you ever do! You should be happy your still able to live here. Your such a fucking disgrace to this family!" " Mom can accept me why can't you?" I yelled at him instantly regretting it he walked up to me and hit me as hard as he could he picked me up and pushed me against the wall "Your lucky she don't care if your a fag! Look at you! That stupid crown you wear, you act like you want people to hate you! You are worthless and pathetic. Just do yourself a favor and kill yourself before I do!" He let go and walked out the door I slid down the wall and burst into tears. He was right I'm worthless and pathetic. I get bullied almost everyday at school for being gay. I'm so tired of living. Everyday I deal with the same stuff. I got up and walked to my bathroom I looked in my mirror, my eye was now black and I had a bruise on my side. I'm tired of constantly being hurt. I opened a drawer and started digging in it. I found it. My little black box.
