chapters 7-8

Chapter 7- Back from the dead

"But you died!" Kiara whispered

"Zira killed you!"

"Don't you want your big brother to be alive, Kiki? Asked Kopa, tutting.

"Where have you been all this time?!" Hissed Kiara, ignoring his patronizing questions.

"Hey, hey, hey 'lil sister, don't get to worked up or you'll 'lose the baby'" he said, in a mocking voice. That was when Kovu came in, glaring at Kopa.

"Leave her now." Kovu told Kopa, his voice icy.

"Why should I?" Snarled Kopa.

"She is my sister. I have a right to see her if I want to."

"Perhaps you would like to continue this discussion outside...Kopa." suggested Kovu, coldly, and spitting the name of this scruffy lion.

Kopa grinned eivilly.

"Yes. Perhaps I would like that."

"Perhaps I would like that very much"

Kovu stormed out, followed by Kopa, who was grinning devilishly.

"I don't care who you are! You can't simply just turn up here, mock me, the king of this pride while Simba.. your father is gone, upset Kiara, not only the queen, but the pregnant queen, and treat this pride like it is your kingdom!" Yelled Kovu, cutting straight to the chase.

Kopa smiled.

"I don't think you understand who I am! I am Simba's first born cub!" Growled Kopa.

"So?" Snarled Kovu.

"So," Kopa said, putting his head close to Kovu's ear.

"I am the rightful king!" Whispered Kopa

Kovu was startled. Of course! This is why he had only returned when the pride had gone!"

You dirty little scoundrel! Simba will never accept you! You abandoned the pride!" Spat Kovu

"I am not stupid! I know how much everyone missed me!" He grinned, glancing at Sarabi.

"But I see you Don't want me around. I'll stay at the old outlanders cave. Enjoy your short time left as king!" He smiled merrily, trotting off.

"Oh, and if Kiara wants to come and see me, send her my way!" He yelled, startling the young orphan antelope.

Kiara came out of the cave.

"Except, I never want to see you again!" She snarled, not loud enough for Kopa to hear her.

"Why?" Asked Kovu, frowning, pretending that nothing was wrong, as to not stress her and the baby.

"Kovu, A: I'm not stupid. I knew what he wanted the moment he turned up. And B: I heard you talking, Kovu. Why does it matter?! What is our motto, Kovu?"

Kovu frowned

"Errr... oh, I know! Hakuna matata!" He grinned, as she speed him about the head playfully.

"No! Anywhere we go, were home, if you are there beside me" she sung, her voice as sweet as honey.

"Like dark, turning into day, somehow we'll come through, now that I've found you, love will find a way. I know love will find a way" they sung, embracing each other with tears in their eyes.
