chapters 15-16

Chapter 15

After a short while, spent hugging amongst those left in the cave, Simba, Nala, Mshindi and Kakao returned into the cave, and they sat in a row facing Kiara and Kovu.

"We bring good news" smiled Kakao, happily.

"Yes, we do" agreed Mshidi

"Especially for Kiara and Kovu." He added.

"We have decided that..." Mshindi paused, and took a deep breath

"That when the cub of Kiara and Kovu is born... Kiara and Kovu will become king and queen of pride Nguvu, Kovu being our eldest, and indeed only child." Grinned Mshindi.

"What about pride rock!?" Asked Kovu

Kiara fainted again, luckily falling against Kovu and not touching her stomach on anything.

"Kopa will take care of pride rock" explained Simba.

Chapter 16

Kiara awoke only an hour later, to find that the prides had been informed. The situation was complicated, because Simba had won over most of the Kenyan Savannah, he was now king of it, but when he passed it down he had permission from Rafiki to pass it down to Kiara and Kovu, but they wouldn't be able to rule it all. So they had decided that anywhere that was a sustainable home for lions would have a Sub-leader and lions were free to roam. Many birds, Simba planned, would be used as messengers, both obvious and undercover. Kopa would be kept happy with pride rock. This would all would work out for her daughter, he knew it would.

Kiara awoke to a painful cramp in her stomach, but it was late at night so she daren't awake anyone. But only minutes later, she had another which made her hiss in pain. Luckily only Kovu awoke.

"Kiara, are you OK?" Whispered Kovu, Concerned.

"Kovu, don't panic but... I think it's the baby!" She replied.

"Then I will stay up with you to see my baby born" assured Kovu.
