Ahahaha...none of you got the correct guy. You guys all guessed Aguma, and that's wrong~!
As we filtered out of the Science room, I closed my eyes. How much as this school changed? 7th graders and 6th graders used to have different schedules, but now they've switched. But I'm not against the lunch time.
"What do you have next?" Una asked, falling into step beside me."Gym, I think."
She pouted, crossing her arms childishly as she stamped her foot. I snickered at her expression. "Aw, I have Art! Then I have Health, then Gym."
"Aw," I mocked. "Lil' Una having a tantrum? It is a trait of Taurus'." Another thing about this year. We get both Gym and Health everyday, along with two electives, then the end of the day. If you signed up for more then two, you would get the other electives the next day, and the next- until you got through all your electives, then you repeat.
Her head drooped. "I didn't have enough food during lunch," she whined. I laughed, swatting her half-heartedly as Sarah hurried up to equal my pace.
"I have Gym too. I heard instead of four teachers, we only have one."
I frowned. "That's possible? You sure this teacher will keep this ruckus under control?"
"It's a pretty small school, and the 7th graders are split among four classes- Gym, Health, and two electives. I'm pretty sure he'll be able to handle us- it's only, like, 30 kids per Gym class," Sarah pointed out.
I lifted my shoulders up in a careless manner. Una turned right, heading towards the door that said 'Art'. "See ya guys later!"
"Uh," I froze at the double doors of the gym as I took my time to peer through the class. People where on the floor doing push-ups or sit-ups- but the teacher was no where to be seen.
Sarah mumbled a curse underneath her breath. "I don't see any teacher, and the guys aren't dressed out."
"Way to be observant."
She shrugged, lightly pushing against the metal bar as it swung open. She strode in as I trailed behind her, shoving my fists in my worn pockets.
Oh, crap.
Apparently, the teacher was hiding off in the corner, having a conversation with a shadowy form. And I knew that teacher- you can't really miss the jacket hanging off his shoulders.
"Sarah," I hissed, tugging on the fabric of her shirt. She swiveled around, brown eyes widening at the sight of him. "We're going to die this year."
"You got that right," she murmured, slowly taking a step backwards but she didn't take her eyes off his arms, which were gesturing wildly.
I grabbed her arm and dragged her away, my formerly-happy mood now gone as I sat next to...Tim, I think? I dimly remembered him from the bus this morning.
"You gotta be kidding me," I grumbled, raking a hand fervently through my brown hair. "We got freaking Ryuga as our Gym teacher?"
Ryuga finished his talk with whoever-it-was-hiding-in-the-shadows and turned towards his, his yellow-amber eyes raking over the people (including us) on the bleachers. "Aye! Get on the floor and do some push-up or sit-ups."
"Oh."
That's literally all Sarah said before we all scrambled down and hurried to find an empty spot.
~
"Twenty-eight..." I grunted. "Sarah, hold my feet down more." I struggled to do another sit-up before dropping and I stretched my arms out to the side.
To my right, Tim was still going with his push-ups. As small as he was, I think he was going to the forties.
To my left...Logan was mumbling numbers as he 'effortlessly' did his push-ups. I had saw him lounging across the floor earlier, no wonder why he wasn't tired. Show-off.
"It's the first day of school," my best friend grumbled, getting into place as I rolled off and basically sat on her feet. "Why is he..."
"Get up, you lazy butts! On the bleacher in thirty seconds!" Ryuga yelled. "Anyone whose's not on gets to run twenty-laps around the gym!"
All the kids were in a frenzy as they struggled to obey, hastily scrambling up the bleachers.
"Eight...seven..." I seated my butt, patting the spot next to me as Sarah plopped down.
"Alright! You guys shouldn't be horrible..." he inspected us, his muscles tensing. "As you should know, I'm your gym teacher- the name's Ryuga Kishatu. Call me either Kishatu or Mr. Ryuga, or you'll find yourself running laps!"
I hung my head and allowed strands of my brunette hair to fall in front of my face. "All about the fitness, isn't he?" I said under my breath.
"Oi! You right there- Shut up!"
....sigh. This is going to be a loooong year.
I assumed he was speaking to me, so I looked up, only to see him scowling when my blue-grey eyes met his own, so I jerked my gaze to the ground.
"Each day, you will be coming here after your last class- Science, Social Studies- whatever the hell it is and we will do fitness. I'm not one of the teachers whose's all fun and games- that will be rare. I came here to teach Gym, and Gym I will teach!"
Snickering under my breath at the last sentence, I pushed the bangs away from my eyes and grinned at Sarah, who was also struggling to contain her laughter.
Or maybe this will be a rather...fun year.
