Congrats to @Aura_Magic as of getting the two lunch monitors right! Anyways, onto the story...~
I tapped Isaac's shoulder, and he turned from where he was tugging his locker open. "Oh, hey. What's up?"
"I just wanna ask you something."I waved at Sarah and Una, who were waiting for me at where the hall intersected.
He raised an eyebrow in surprise, then motioned for me to go on.
"Whose's the science teacher?"
His grin widened. "You'll have to see- But all I'm saying is that he has a snappish temper."
"ISAAC!"
He dashed away, ducking into the doors of the café and then vanished. Another black-haired boy jogged after him, and I waved a quick good-bye at Aidan as he passed to follow his twin.
"Those two are a help." Mirka came up besides me, lunch money- at least what I assumed to be lunch money- in one hand, a lunchbox in the other.
"Yeah. What's with the money and lunch box?"
"Just in case the school food is horrid." She nodded, "One step ahead."
She veered off into the school lunch line, and I plopped down in one of the tables.
"Pfft, school monitors...such a stupid idea..." Sarah muttered as she slid down next to me, holding a small milk carton she had gotten from the line. "Hey, what's up with that?"
I followed where she was looking at. The curtain on the stage connected to the lunchroom were closed, but in the area where the curtain didn't just touch the ground, I could see two pairs of feet, as well as what looked like a microphone stand.
Pretty soon, the café was buzzing with the sounds of kids. Aidan and Isaac weren't exactly with us, just chatting with two others at the other end of the table, Pratina seemed to be waiting for someone. Logan and Luke were seated at the other table, surrounded by what I assumed was the sporty boys, including LJ.
Logan has the biggest ego I've ever met.
Sarah was seated next to me, as well as Una across from me, with Mirka next to her. It seemed like Mirka already formed a close bond with the group.
Someone plopped down next to Pratina, followed by two others.
"Paige! Sammie! Taylor!" Sarah squealed, launching herself across two chairs to envelop Sammie in a hug.
Like Abhas and Pratina, Paige, Sammie, and Taylor were all from my fifth grade year.
"Can you believe it?" Sammie asked, weaving her black hair into a new braid, "We're 7th graders!"
"That's what I said in fifth grade..." Taylor sighed, "That I couldn't believe that was was a fifth grader. It seems like so long ago..."
Una's gaze flicked between Taylor and I. "She's taller then you."
I went into defense mode, "By one inch!"
"Still taller~"
"SHUT UP!"
Una stuck her tongue out, smirking. "Sure."
I snarled at her through my mouthful of chips, stuffing another one in my mouth.
Mirka held up a hand. "Whoa, girls, calm down. I wouldn't mind some bloodshed, but there's some people moving around on stage." She jerked her finger towards the stage, where I could see two shadows.
Sammie looked strangely at her, opening her mouth to reply, but a loud sound rang through the room, causing nearly everyone to duck and cover their ears.
