Promotion is important, but nowadays people (or more specifically, teenagers) feel the need to overpromote.
Teenagers are probably the biggest fans of overdoing. The "popular" group especially loves to overdo. Make-up, clothing, parties, gifts... That means: If you want to be popular, you have to do stuff over the top. So, why not overpromote?
What do you need?
= a function that needs promoting
= people to overpromote the function to (ex. your classmates, group of friends, etc.)
= colorful flyers (a lot of it!)
What to do:
1. Find a function that needs promoting.
2. Find people to promote to and stuff flyers in their hands (multiple if possible).
3. Tell them how amazing it is and how they need to be there ... if they don't want to die (really force it down their throat).
4. Duck when they throw the rolled up flyer at you (mad ducking skills!).
WARNING!!!
Be careful of over-overpromoting as it might result in no one pitching up.
Also, be aware of flying flyers - they are capable of making horrible papercuts...
