PIC OF EARL TO THE SIDE

I walked up my walk way, glad that Katie had gone home with Gabriel. I had a bone to pick with the lovely Mr. Earl. I knew he wasn't human, but i had no idea what he was. All i knew was that things were going to change once i stepped into the house. I could feel it, there was power radiating off the house, but Jameson's car was there. I worked with him like Cole had, but it wasn't always everyday. He and Morgan had finally decided that they were going to marry and they were planning the best wedding they could. Jameson was my best friend and i was so excited for him, and i was his best woman.

But right now, i didn't want him anywhere near the house. I could sense him in the house, just waiting for me, but he was talking to Earl.

"Hello?" i called, and Jameson called that he was in the living room and i heard Morgan in there with him. "Hey, girl!"

"Hi, honey," she said, hugging me. "We stopped by to fill you in on what's going on with the wedding, but i didn't know you had company." The tone in her voice caught me off guard and i looked at Earl, who was grinning. He had said something that i wasn't going to like. "It's good, you having some male company." I felt my face turning beet red.

"I think we should let them be," Jameson said, and i swallowed hard. Jameson hugged me before he left, but i really didn't want him to leave. He didn't get my glance so i was left alone with Earl.

"I take it that Asel told you a little something about me?" Earl asked, and i fidgeted. "I told them you were sleeping with me."

"I figured," i hissed. "Were you that blunt about it?"

"Maybe just a little," he said, smiling, but them it seemed to fade. "I know you see yellow."

"I saw yellow with David," i said, shedding my jacket across a chair. "What makes it any different with you?"

"I look for those like you," he said, backing me against a wall. "Those who need to be stronger to see what's right in front of them. I have a gift that i can give."

"What's that?" i asked, looking past him.

"I can give you a power that most seers dream of," he said.

"I'm not a real seer," i said, looking at him. "I haven't been since Cole died."

"You'll always be a seer," he said, and i began shaking, but i didn't know why. "You know i'm not human, but most other worldly creatures don't. I'm of original blood."

"What does that mean?"

"It means i'm one of the creatures that this whole world was born from," he said, coming closer. I didn't know what to think about all of this, but i knew this was something that i needed. "Ten drinks of my blood and you will hold power that will set you above the rest."

"Your blood?" i squeaked and he chuckled. "You've got to be kidding?"

"No, sadly, no," he said. "What i'm offering you is not something to take lightly. You will no longer be human, but something much stronger."

"What exactly are you?"

"A demon," he said, and my eyes widened. "Vampires are born from us as well as werewolves. I am not as old as you may think."

"Ten drinks, that's it," i said, not believing that i was actually asking. "What will happen to me?"

"You'll be able to control the lines that i know are coming back," he said, leaning closer, unbuttoning his shirt. I forced myself to look away. "Your strength will heighten, you'll begin to see things in a different way." He took out a knife and sliced at his skin. Blood pooled on the cut, and my eyes locked on it. "You'll be just like them, but without the half animal tendencies."
