Chapter 14: Broken Identity

I sat up quickly, sweat beaded on my head. "Whoa, you right Crimson?" Crystal said. "J-Just a nightmare," I said. "Im going to get dinner," I said swinging my legs over onto the floor. "You mean lunch," Crystal said. I looked up at her weirdly. "What?" I grumbled. I looked at the time. '12:47 pm'. "What?" I said. "Yup," Crystal said popping the 'p'. "Oh Jeez," I said rubbing my forehead. "Well at least you got some sleep," She said. "Not really, no," I said. Holly came in from the kitchen with a plate of bacon, she sat on the lounge across from me. I sped over and took he plate. "OI," she said. "You took my chocolate," I replied. She humphed. Crystal turned the tv on and guess what was up there. "The Crimson Assassin is now a world wide criminal," the news reporter said. Crystal changed the channel, same thing, changed channel again, same bloody thing. "Poopsticles," she said, I looked at her weirded out. "Don't judge me," she said.

I turned my head to the sound of running, a panting breath and the crumple of grass under foot. I got up and the door flung open. "GUYS," Casper yelled, we hurried to the door. "What what is it?" Crystal asked him, he was breathing heavily trying to catch his breath. "Th-the fight, its today, they are meeting at the Lound Mountain clearing," he puffed. We looked at each other nervously. I had an angry expression on my face. I raced up and put my gear on. "Crimson no-" Crystal said, I sped out of the door and headed to the clearing on mount Lound.

I reached the mountain in record speed. It was cold and dark even up there. I ignited a small flame in my hand. I walked around for a little while, this mountain was covered in trees and grass. Then I heard a growl.I turned and ran to the noise. Then I stepped onto of a small peak hidden behind a big boulder. A clearing spread out in front of me, the clearing from my dream. "No," I whispered. Then I saw my alpha and The Markers pack stumble out of the forest my alpha at the front leading them. On the opposite side of the forest clearing came out Jake, my friends from school following closely behind him.

"NO," I yelled a little loudly. I hid behind the bolder and listened. "So, you sent your best after me, but she seems to of failed killing me," Jake said sternly his voice made me calm. "Oh, we know how powerful you are Jake, and she just hasn't made her move yet, but we settle this here and now," my alpha said, growls came form the markers. Even the Shadows and Techs were there to fight. My mate is so powerful that even the Tech came...wow.

"Im not here to fight you, I have only come to negotiate," Jake said. My alpha stepped closer. "To me negotiating is used with claws and fangs," he said. "I will not stand for that," Jake said. He was being strong and staying still. "I will set The Crimson Assassin on you quick, and you won't even notice she has struck until you're dead," my alpha said. "BRING IT ON, I need to kill her myself, she killed her, she killed my girl, SHE KILLED MY MATE," he yelled. My alphas face went pale. "So you know your mate?" he asked. "Yes, and she's dead because of your assassin, I say bring her on, I'll kill her myself," Jake said. I could feel his anger radiating into myself. My Mark burned like hell but I kept myself from screaming.

I heard a howl deep into the woods beside them. Jake and his pack turned to the sound. My alpha didn't move his eye from Jake, he had positioned himself in his attack formation. "No," I said. He growled loudly. Jake turned for a second and my alpha swung his sharp claws at jake. "NO," I yelled. I shifted and jumped up onto the boulder. I let out my loud call. An ear piercing screech from my vampire, a loud growling roar from my wolf and high pitched yelps from my kitsune fox. In black wolf form, my eyes glowing brightly their natural colours, my orange fiery aura ignited around me, my fangs and claws sharper and longer.

Everyones eyes turned to me. My alphas confusion turned into a wide grin. I jumped down with speed and stood between them. "Haha, she's on our side," my alpha said. I shifted back into my human form, posing as The Crimson Assassin. "You, YOU KILLED MY-" I put a finger up in front of his face to sh him. "Hello Crimson," My alpha said. "Come to kill your target finally?" he said. "NO!" I yelled. Jakes face went limp. "I WILL NOT KILL HIM!" I roared at my alpha. "What? You must, its your mission. He's your target," he said pointing to Jake. A gust of wind blew into my face. My hood fell off and my hair pushed back into Jakes direction. My alphas gaze moved to my neck. "You-you're her. No, you can't be... I WILL KILL YOU!" my alpha roared. I blocked his swing and kicked him hard in the stomach sending him flying into a bunch of assassins.

He got up and went to hit me, a silver arrow sprouted out of his hand. He shrieked in pain and pulled it out. I looked at the trees. Casper, Crystal and Holly stepped out. Casper wore his Markers gear with the symbol on his arm. "C-Casper, you're a Marker?" Jake said. "Not anymore," Casper said ripping the symbol off his jacket. "Crystal, come to join us?" My alpha said. "Wait, Crystal?" Jake said. "No," Crystal said, the three of them moved next to me. "Oh, who's this? A hunter...of The Moon, sweety put the bow and arrows down and surrender or we will kill," My alpha said. "You really bring a human to the fight?" he said mockingly. Holly flashed her eyes. He looked at her confused and scared. "Miret family bitch," she said. Crystal activated her eyes and so did I. "Wait, family?" Blaze said.

Crystal turned to me. "You should tell him now," she said caringly. I turned my head slightly, blocking my face and hair. "Just one more thing first," I said. "WHAT'S GOING ON? KILL THEM!" My alpha yelled to the pack. I screamed and sped to my alpha. I scratched him in the stomach and flipped him over my back and onto the floor pinning him with ease. "What are you doing?" he asked. "Getting revenge, for all the years you have pushed me into suffering and destroying, and I can't do that anymore, I have found my mate and he marked me, and I raised the truth of the world, it cannot be like this," I said whispering the last bit to him. "You where never my alpha, but you where my enemy," I said. He went to swing but I grabbed out my dagger and stabbed it into his chest. I twisted my wrist and he let out his final breath. I stood up and spat on him.

I felt my eyes burn, the blue eyes of my wolf turning red. "Wh-why'd you do that?" Jake said. "Because," I said turning my head. I changed into Amber Shrine. I lifted my head to him. "I can't kill my mate," I said sadly. Everyone jaws fell to the ground. "Amber?" he said. "Im sorry I tricked you, I had too, I didn't know we where mates until you hit me in the legs with the basketball." I said. "What about all the times we spent together?" he asked. "All that was real, the real me, not Amber Shrine, that's why I seemed different I was meant to be girly but, I felt too comfortable here," I said. "What about Danny?" Blaze said. "She tried to kill me, instincts kicked in, I didn't have any feelings for you all then, but now its different," I said. "This has changed me," I said, I moved my hair exposing my mark. Jakes eyes widened. "Jake, you go, man," Tony said punching his arm. He blushed and I let my hair go.

"AAAHHHH," I heard behind me, I lifted my fist and flung the person over my shoulder without even taking my eyes off Jake. A few more people came at me. But they stopped when they saw my eyes, a dark blood red. "GO BACK TO BASE IN MAINLAND STAY UNTIL I ARRIVE," I roared. The rest of the markers pack turned and ran. "Ouch, my throat," I mumbled. "Ok, can we just start from the begging please the very beginning," Jake said. "You might wanna take a seat," Crystal said. And so I told them, I told them everything.
