Ch-12 Escape?

Third Person's POV

Ian pressed the trigger and everything went dark. It took Amy a moment to realize that it was literal.

She heard a shot and a man's scream. Suddenly someone grabbed hold of her hand. Before she could scream, punch or kick him she heard a whisper

It's me, Ian! Come on!

Amy let Ian take hold of her as she ran; not comprehending what had just happened. A million questions raced through her mind. Why had Ian saved her? What had just happened?

But she decided to shove them out of her mind and concentrate on surviving. Ian kicked some boxes out of the way and they saw a door. The other door. They were escaping from the opposite side.

Ian hurriedly opened the door. Thankfully it was open. They hear Vikram shout Follow them!

They were almost out when something whizzed by Amy's shoulder. Amy let out a small gasp but continued to run. They ran through a long corridor which diverged left and right.

Which direction Ian asked panting a little

Ummm right Amy said

They hear a voice of pounding feet from the left

Right it is Ian said and they raced ahead. Unfortunately they reached a dead end. Ian cursed. Amy racked her brain for a solution. There had to be a way out

Maybe we can go back... Ian suggested

A shout from behind cancelled that choice.

Great Ian said. We are about to get cornered.

No Amy said. She had seen something over their right. Boxes. Filled with..... Tinned food. And behind it was a door. Yes it was really weird that all the doors were always blocked with boxes. Nevertheless Amy and Ian swiftly removed the boxes and grabbed hold of the door handle. Ian jumped in with Amy behind as she quickly closed the door and crashed into Ian.

Oww Ian said

Move ahead Amy hissed

I Cannot Ian hissed back

Amy looked around and saw that Ian was right. They were in some kind of closet with many mops and brooms about which Ian was not so pleased. They just have enough space to stand, But then it was better than nothing

Ian started grumbling but Amy quickly hushed him. Not a moment too soon for the men entered the room.

Search for them! someone yelled

Suddenly Amy felt a sharp burning sensation on her shoulder. She bit her lip.

Amy you are bleeding Ian whispered urgently

Amy did not know how Ian could see that in the dark but the pain started getting worse. Ian was examining it gently. Lucian training came in use everywhere.

Luckily the bullet just touched you Ian whispered after a while and looked here and there for anything that might serve as a bandage. He soon found a cloth. It looked clean enough. It will have to do Ian thought and pressed it onto Amy's shoulder. Amy shut her eyelids tightly and bit back another scream

They are not here someone shouted

Look somewhere else another voice snarled. We need them at any cost

When the two of them were sure that the men had left they tumbled out of the closet

Well Amy said. What do we do now?

We need to keep moving Ian said. And I am not going back in that smelly closet.

Amy shook her head in amazement. They both tiptoed out to the corridor. Now if they could find an exit that lead them outside, to the waterpark....

Look Amy whispered. She was pointing to a door which was open a crack. Sunlight streamed through it. Ian and Amy swiftly but quietly went up to the door

Ian breathed a sigh of relief when they got out. So far so good.

They heard footsteps coming from a side. Ian mentally cursed as he and Amy ran to the Lost Temple ride. Some temple it was. Devoid of light. Amy stumbled on something but Ian caught her.

Careful, love Ian whispered and despite the situation Amy blushed and glared at Ian simultaneously

Don't move someone commanded from behind and the two of them froze. Now what. Amy looked around. There was a network of pipes on her right side and a control panel on her left, nothing they could use as a weapon. That is if they did not die in a few seconds. Ian had lost his dart gun and now they had nothing to defend themselves. Running was no use. Boldly, Amy turned around and saw....

Dan she yelled

Amy about a dozen voices shout out. Someone switched on the light and the Cahills saw each other face to face. Dan and Amy hugged each other and Ian comforted a near-to-tears Natalie

I thought I would lose you too Natalie's voice cracked

Not so fast Ian said smiling

The other Cahills grinned and the Holts cheered, at least until Sinead hissed I think you are forgetting that we are still in the enemy's territory!

Amy you are bleeding! Dan exclaimed and Amy shushed her.

Quiet you dweeb! Its fine we just need to get out of here now

Jonah handed Amy and Ian some dart guns. Sinead has already planned the way out lets go!

Leaving so soon? a voice boomed and suddenly they were under fire as bullets whizzed by them

Duck! Hamilton shouted and switched off the lights once again. Ian pulled Amy and Dan behind the pipes and the three of them started shooting. Unfortunately dart guns were not so effective against real guns and the shooters were more than the Cahills

Ned! Sinead yelled and for a frightening moment Amy thought that he was hurt but suddenly they heard a blast and they were enveloped by thick fumes

Move Ted cried as they heard the shooters coughing and a few of them fell down, unconscious. They all raced towards the ride's exit. They almost made it out but Amy tripped

Amy! Dan yelled and Ian grabbed her hand

Don't close your eyes he said but Amy could not fight the drowsiness

It must be tripping-Amy-day today she thought and blacked out
