Chapter 6: Missing Pieces

Angela's POV

I kept walking even though I felt her spiritual presence nearing...

"Remember, the parts of Jade are connected to each one of the Jaders, they'll know when their shard is near." she whispered.

Everyone was looking at me...

Some Jaders, some Rubeasts, some Diamonsters...

I just continued reading my book.

It was an enchantment book. Though I memorized all 1234 enchantments, I knew there were things in here that might help.

It was the only way I got to communicate with Jessie. I was practicing a certain enchantment when I remembered enchantment 942: Spiritual Converse.

I tried it and soon enough I was able to see, hear, touch and talk to Jessie.

They wouldn't understand.

Besides, since when has anyone fully understood me?

"Use your codenames, you guys." I said.

They nodded.

I was not the leader of OWCA. Hell, nobody was.

But I know when I need to take charge. Besides, who's gonna stop Dave and Ian from playing their stupid games? And who'll stop Ricardo and Max from messing with Dave? Someone's gotta take the job.

"So, Verivy, guys." started Max, "How are we gonna find the shards? We can't look for them manually right?"

They all turned to me.

"We all are connected to one shard. We'll know where it will be found, your shard will lead you to itself." I said and I carried on.

I may be telling them what to do but I just follow behind...

We first searched the forest since I knew my shard was there.

"Your shard will call you. So as for now, split up." I said and I mentally chanted a spell.

I had 3 books, Enchantments, Spells, and Jade.

The Jade book was spells that is used to be able to use the Jade.

If they want to use the Jade, they have to use the book. And if they want to use the book, they're gonna need either me or Jessie, since we're the only spell casters in the entire land of Pisay.

I mumbled a spell

"Jigoku no fu no bijon!"

And soon my vision turned negative. (Negative like the ones in your cellphone camera.)

The shards are magical so their negative colour must be a light and sparkling white...

Unfortunately, my power is limited since I am a multi-caster.

Those who can cast spells and enchantments are called Sages.

Spells are usually used for offense and defence and enchantments are usually used for offense.

Tch..., this is taking too long...

This may take up half of my power supply but we need to get all 24 shards quickly. Before she makes her move...

"Tengoku no Superu, maho no setsuzoku!! (TR: Heaven's Spell, Magical Connection)"

All of a sudden, different white and sparkling threads appeared along with my negative vision.

"Looks like there're more shards here in the forest than I thought..." I mumbled.

I raised my hand upward, this next spell only required a bit of power so I guess it's alright if I were to use a little bit more...
