Chapter 1- I Can't Believe It

"If the Earth ends up crumbling down to its knees and baby,

Me and my sister belted the lyrics to Gotta Get Out by 5 Seconds Of Summer.
Our favourite band in the whole wide world.
"Keep it down!" Mum shouted from downstairs.
"Not until you get us tickets!" I shouted back.
"Give me the money, and I will!" She yelled.
"What money? You owe us about 5 grand worth of pocket money!" Liv screamed.
She's my sister.
"You're over exaggerating Livvy!" Mum laughed.
We turned the music off and went downstairs.
"Woah! Woah! Shut up!" Liv said.
"I didn't say any-"
"Shhhhh!" She hushed.
She kept dialing a number.
"If I'm the 100th caller, we'll get 2 tickets to see 5sos." She whispered.
I ran to her side and listened.
"You are the 96th caller." She ended and redialed.
"You are the 101st caller."
I looked at my sister, my eyes were watering.
"You have got to be joking." Liv said almost unaudible.
"We're never going to get tickets. Ever." I sniffed.
"Girls, girls. No need to be sad. Tomorrow we're going to go see your Uncle Austin and your Aunt Ari."
"Tomorrow? That means we have to drive past the 5sos concert. The one we're not going to." I whined.
"Ohh Riley! You and Liv will be over that band in a few weeks! Get over yourselves!" Mum said, sternly but still joking.
The front door opened and our dad came in.
"Evening one and all!" He announced.
"Hi Dad." I pouted.
"You didn't win?"
"No." Liv answered.
"Aww, my two baby girls. Next time." He smiled.
Dad's smile is contagious. It's not good. He makes me smile even when I don't want to.
"Well, I'm going to bed, I'm tired." Mum stated.
"Ok, darling." Dad said.
Me and Liv sat on the sofa and watched Gravity Falls.
"I'm going to get a drink." I said.
Liv just nodded.
Dad was in the kitchen on his phone. Talking to someone. A girl it sounded like. I know its wrong to snoop but, this seems important.
"Yeah, ok. See you tomorrow, babe. Love you." He hung up.
I felt a lump in my throat and tears brimmed my eyes.
My dad walked out, "Whats wrong sweetheart."
"Don't call me that." I spat.
"Woah, what's up with you."
I gave him the best dirty look I could, "Don't talk to me again. I'm telling mum."
I started to run but he grabbed me.
"You're not telling mum anything." He growled.
"Livvy! Tell mum that dad's cheating on her." I screamed.
I saw Liv get up and run towards the stairs. Dad let go of me and ran after Liv. I got up and ran too.
Liv//
I belted up the stairs and to mum's room.
"Mum! Mum! MUM!" I chanted.
"Whats wrong, cupcake?"
"Dad's cheating!" I practically yelled.
"What a load of nonsense." Dad said behind me.
"Mum! I'm not lying! Riley even heard him saying Love You to another girl!"
"That was my sister." He smirked.
"Oh so you call your sister babe?" Riley asked.
His smirk faded.
Mum marched towards him.
"Give me your phone." She held out her hand.
"Mum!"
"Give it!"
"We're telling the-"
"Save it! I don't wanna hear it! I'm tired, ok. Give me your phones."
I sighed and handed her my phone. Riley did too.
"Don't come crying to us when you find out the truth. We tried." I mumbled.
"What was that?" Dad asked, evily.
"You heard me!" I shouted.
"Liv, you're grounded for 2 weeks!" Mum stated.
I huffed and stomped to my room.
Riley following after.
Dad came in after.
"You pull anything like that again." He smacked me and Riley straight across the face, "That's what you're gunna get!"
Riley landed on the floor with a thud. Her eyes closed.
"Riley?" A whimpered.
She mumbled something but I couldn't hear.
"What a dick." She whispered before her eyes closed.
I picked her up and carried her to her bed. I bruise starting to form on her face.
She was so injurable. If thats even a word.
"Just sleep, Rie ok. Wake up in the morning. Sleep Rie. Thats it." I gently kissed her forehead, grabbed my quilt and slept on the floor.
