Chapter Ten

There was stunned silence for about a minute and then Tyler started laughing,

"Good one, Rose, but really who is it?"

"It really is you. Ok, now I'm going to disappear so talk to you later" And with that I stepped aside and let future Tyler walk in. I thought that meant but when past Tyler didn't disappear, I got extremely confused. Past Tyler's eyes bulged in his head as he came face to face with his future self.

"Oh, wow" Was all past Tyler (PT as I am going to call him now) managed to get out.

"Why haven't you disappeared?" I questioned PT, frowning. What was going on?

"We're the same soul, so it's still just you, Rose and me. Even though the time is different, the apartment still recognises me as the same soul, henceforth both of us exisiting here" Future Tyler (or FT for short) answered for me.

"Then why couldn't he see you at the door?"

"I wasn't in the apartment. He is not able to look out the door and see the future world, and while standing at the door, I was a part of the future world"

"I think I understand. Gosh this stuff is confusing!" I exclaimed, rubbing my temples. FT chuckled while PT just stared. I pushed PT down the short hallway and onto the couch, sitting down next to him while FT sat next to me.

"I know this is very weird for you but I had to come. I was told not to come, but I just had to. I know everything that happens from now and although I can't tell you everything, I want to warn you on just one thing. I really wish I could tell you everything"

"Hold on-slow down. Both of us are still trying to get over the fact that you're here" FT gave me a sympathetic smile,

"I know, but I don't have much time. If he knew I was here, he would kill me"

"Who would?"

"That's not important. The reason I came here today is because last night you would have had a date with Derek, right?"

"Well...not a date..."

"Be careful of him, Rose, do not trust him"

"Huh?"

"He's not who you think he is. I'm not saying avoid him because you do need to work with him but be careful and do not go alone with him on a dinner ever again"

"Are you serious?"

"Deadly. He is a very dangerous man" Tyler beat his palms against his forehead, "I want to tell you more but I can't! Anyway, I have to go now. There will be a man coming around tomorrow in both of your times to explain the situation. This guy is a safe guy-trust him" With that FT stood up and walked to the door, but not before turning and enveloping me into a big hug,

"Stay safe, Rose" I returned the hug and when we pulled apart, he had a sad expression on his face.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing." FT pulled on his shoes, "I will try to visit again but I'm not sure if I can. Here's my number" FT pulled a card out of his pocket and gave it to me, "Call me whenever you need me. Now I really have to go, goodbye" And with that he was gone.
