Jessica’s POV

After crying for god knows how long, I looked into Harry’s eyes. He looked like he was crying, but when he cries, his eyes are red. His eyes were slightly glossed over. I was so close to moving that one stray curl on his head, an act of affection really, but then it all hit me again. Fighting, yelling, him inviting her over, sleeping in my bed, kicking her out, slapping him till I got tired. I pushed myself off, kind of regretting it, but knew I’d regret it more if I stayed. He looked upset and hurt, but lets be honest, he’ll never know of the pain I went through. Forget about cheating, it was taken to a whole other level, and it’s always harder on the girl. There’s a reason I’m not friends with many girls, aside from family and people close to us like Lou, Danielle, and Eleanor. Girls are bitches. Every girl is a bitch. Think about it, Haley sat naked in my house god knows how many times, and I kicked her out. Bitchy on both parts, but hey it happens. Girls are conniving, and if one girl is bitter enough, she can ruin a life, I would know. I went to our-my-our bedroom, cleaned the floor thoroughly with every cleaning product in this flat. I took off all the sheets on the bed, the comforter, the pillows, the pillow sheets, EVERYTHING. I threw them in a big black bag and kept it outside the door so I could take it to the dumpster. I cleaned the bed post, the drawers, the bathroom, everything. I took a deep breath once again, feeling like a weight has been lifted off my back. I saw my phone ringing from work and got a little apprehensive.

“Hello?” “Hey Jessica, It’s Liz.” “Oh hey Liz, what’s up, how are you?” “I’m fine thanks, but I have some bad news for you. Jessica, you’ve been laid off.” “…Why?” “Remember how the other day I told you the store has a budget and can’t afford workers and all that?” “Yes.” “We’ve had to lay off about 5-10 people per store; every factor was counted, in the sense that spouses were well off, kids were well off and etc.” “So I’m laid off because I’m engaged to Harry Styles?” “On informal terms, yes. I made the phonecall because I consider us friends, and you had the right to know, asap. There are several thousand workers working for us all over the world Jess. Some have this job to have food on their plates and benefits for their families. You and I both know you’re well off, with or without a job. The economy is tough, and business is so slow. I really hope you understand. I have to go now, keep in touch okay?” “Bye Liz. Thanks for letting me know.”
