"Raven!" someone calls out. Shain and I whirl around.

It's Will.

"What is it?" I ask, worried. The last time I saw him freaked was at the Bristills' party, when he saw Jess's body. "What happened this time?"

He pants, "They found Cardinal." I freeze. They found her body. Another body.

"Where?" I ask. I'm not sure if he can hear it. I was whispering.

Will shakes his head. "They found her...alive."

My eyes widen. I can picture Shain's doing the same.

"Take me to her," I state.

Cardinal's clothes are ripped. Her hair is matted with blood, hers or someone else's I don't know. There are cuts on her face. Her eyes are wide with terror. She is lying in a ditch.

But she's breathing. She's alive.

A doctor helps her up. She is shaking so badly she can barely stand.

"Miss Bristill, are you alright?" he asks. She looks around. Her eyes land on York.

"You," she says hoarsely, "how dare you..." Then she collapses. People rush to help her.

York turns around and takes off running. To my surprise, Mr. Bristill tackles him from the side. He continuously punches him.

As police officers pry him off of York, he yells, "You will never touch my family again."

I realize he thinks that York killed Raven too. Who knows? He might have.

Lieutenant Brace marches up to York. He turns him around and handcuffs him. I see York has blood all over his face now. I think Mr. Bristill broke his nose, not to mention giving him a real pounding.

Lieutenant Brace says loud enough for everyone to hear, "York Hampshire, you are under arrest for the kidnapping of Cardinal Bristill and the murder of Jess Banks."

A/N: I'm sorry for the short chapter. I didn't have it finished yesterday, but I wanted to post it.
