Chapter 5

I got home, seeing that there were lights on inside. Niall was home, making me feel relieved. I swung open the door, seeing Niall sitting on the couch, reading a magazine.

"Hey, Ni. Where did you go?"

"Well, I was waiting for you, but I saw that you were talking to someone so I just walked home." He wouldn't look away from the magazine as he spoke.

"Oh, I couldn't find you, so I went out to lunch with a guy, Jason. He is so nice, and he is so cute!" I said with a smile.

Niall frowned and stared at the ground. I walked over to him to see what was the matter.

"Ni, are you okay?"

"What? Oh, yeah I'm fine." He said, trying to brush off the feeling.

"Are you sure? I don't want to see you upset." I said , rubbing his shoulder.

Niall looked at my hand on his shoulder, and then looked back at the ground.

"I broke up with Amy..." He said.

Niall's POV

Tori had a shocked face. She looked as if her heart was broken, instead of mine. I don't understand why she is so upset, when I knew that she never liked Amy in the first place.

"I am so sorry Niall!" She wrapped her arms around me.

"Yeah, I ended it because...well, because I think I am in love with someone else." I suddenly felt my face turn red. from her being on me and what I just said.

After saying those words, Tori had an even more shocked look on her face.

"Who is it?" Tori was looking me in the eyes. Her green eyes were so beautiful, especially when they were so bright with the hazel in the middle.

"I rather not say. It is too soon for you to know." I spoke.

I can't believe I told her that I loved someone else. What if she finds out that she is the person? I don't want to get in the way of her and that Jason guy. I haven't seen Tori this happy since we first decided to live together after high school. What am I gonna do?
