Chapter 8

I feel my heart in my throat and a my stomach in knots. I can't believe I am about to do this! I start to walk down the stairs. I can feel my knees shaking like crazy as I walk over to Niall and his friend, Liam. As I was into the kitchen, Niall looks at me with a rather red face.

"Hey." I say with a shaky voice.

"Hey." Niall sounds shaky as well. "Did you just hear anything we just said?"

"No, why?"

"Oh, ok. Just wanted to know." He sighed in relief.

What were they talking about?

Niall's POV

Thank God Tori didn't hear a thing. I was screaming at Liam before to just let me tell her straight up that I like her, but he was saying thought that it would be a better idea if I go on a date with her first. I think not, well not yet.

"So, I..uh...I have to tell you...oh never mind." Tori was stuttered as she tried to finish her sentence. Is she getting nervous about something? Is it about that Jason, cause I swear I will find him and rip him apart!

"Oh for god sake, just tell him, Tor!" Amanda screamed at Tori. I guess it was for some motivation for whatever she didn't want to tell me.

"Before you say anything, I have to tell you something as well." I say, looking at the ground. I never make eye contact with anyone when I get nervous, and I think Tori knows that about me by now. I cleared my throat, ready to tell her.

"Do you want to go first?" She asked, hoping I say yes. I nodding, making her relax a little.

"For a while now..." I froze, wondering if I really should tell her. No, I had to, she had to know. "...I have liked you. The kiss that we shared earlier was very special, and meant a lot to me. I have been waiting for a long time to do that."

I was waiting for her to respond, but she was standing there, frozen like a statue. Does she not like me back? Did I just ruin our friendship? I knew that this would be a mistake.

"Niall, I wanted to tell you the same thing." She smiled.

My eyes widened in surprise.

Tori's POV

I can't believe he told me that he likes me. I thought that he was going to say that the kiss meant nothing and that it was just to comfort me. I glanced over to Amanda, seeing that she was smiling as much as me at this point. Then I saw Niall look over at Liam, who was zoned in on Amanda. I rose my eyebrow at Amanda, making her shrug her shoulders.

We all decided to watch a movie. I had ordered the movie, The Lucky One, a while ago for me and Amanda to watch when having our next girl's night. Both me and Niall went into the kitchen to make some popcorn.

"So do you want butter or kettle?" I asked, searching through the cabinet for both kinds.

"Tori..." Niall came over to me, grabbing my and spinning me into his chest. "I really like you, and hope this works out."

Smiling into my eyes, me leaned in for a kiss. Our lips touched once again, making butterflies form in my stomach. I think I can get used to this happening more often.
