Dan's POV:
"I can't believe how long it's been since we last saw each other! Wow, I've missed you so much." Hanna said placing her hand on top of mine, making me extremely nervous. Being the awkward person I am, I'll probably do something stupid and spill my hot chocolate all over her hands.
We were currently sat inside Starbucks, watching the rain dripping down the window pane as we warmed our hands on our drinks. She was right, it had been a while since we last saw each other, I mean I left collage and since then I don't think I'd seen her after that. Besides Phil, she was always my best friend. We did pretty much everything together, even in high school. We would sneak away from the rest of the group in school trips and go hide out in a tree, or if one of us was in detention the other one of us would try to get one so we could just be in detention together. I have to admit, I do miss them times.
"I know, it's been so so long. I've missed you um like a lot too." I mumbled giving her an awkward smile. She probably thought I was such an idiot, well I looked like one at least, smiling stupidly at her.
"So how are you?" She said laughing lightly. She was beautiful when she smiled, well shes beautiful always but when she smiles her whole face lights up, her eyes shine with happiness, and wow she has really perfect teeth. Like all perfectly straight and perfectly white. After a few moments I realised that I'd been staring at her again, for the second time that day. I felt the blood rush to my cheeks as I break out of my haze, I'd completely ignored her question.
"Oh! Oh sorry um I'm great thanks, everything is amazing at the moment, and Phil is really good too! Him and a friend are filming a video today..." I rambled, remembering that she had only asked me a simple question. I mentally face palmed my self, cursing at my self for being so annoyingly awkward.
"How are you?" I said quickly trying to change the subject from being focused on me.
"I'm great, I'm currently studying photography and I love it! Hopefully next year I will be able to become more advanced and travel around the world taking pictures, that would be perfect." She said as if she was imagining the whole situation. I could even picture her doing that, kneeling in the sand of a beach in some exotic island, taking pictures of the beauty surrounding her. She would be amazing at that job, she even fits the image.
Suddenly Hanna gasped, jumping up and grabbing her bags. "Oh my god Dan, I'm so sorry I told my friend Rebecca that I'd meet her at the shopping centre at 2:30 pm, and well it's 2:20 pm now. I'm so sorry I have to go but I'm going to be late. It was lovely seeing you again, we definitely have to meet up soon. Sorry again, bye!" She said in a fluster bringing me into a tight hug. I watched her as she ran to her car through the pouring rain, her head down trying to keep her hair as dry as possible. Once she was safely in car away from the rain, she began to drive off, only pausing slightly to wave at my through the window. I waved back, a smile on my lips. I already couldn't wait to see Hanna again, it was just nice having a little catch up with her, even if it wasn't for long.
