Chapter 16:The Dreads

I moved my foot away from the blood and turned around laying on the hard desert was Jamie I looked away from him the dreads stood there.
"oh my god" Nathan said
He froze terrified look he pointed past the dreads a man came up from behind them he looked like the dreads except bigger and wore a brown suit outlined in gold with a mask mask that made there face unrecognizable.
"It's dr.dread the leader incredibly strong and has psychic powers" Julian said
He walked up to us and said "why are you here"
"We need your help to defeat the gargants, where hitting them hard" I said
"Where fighting our own war right now" he answered
"Against who" I asked
"The scythe and his warriors" one of them said"

We will help... "But Naomi covered my mouth before I could finish and she whispered in my ear
"The scythe is a professional assassin hired by the gargants and spent thousands of years perfecting the skills of his weapon of choice, also where he got his name". Behind us I heard another horn I turned around and there was people running toward us with spears and knifes.
" to late there here,we will help you fight if we survive" dr.dread said
He put his fingers on his head and the front line of the Warriors blew back scythe stood on a hill behind them watching us the dreads pulled out there weapons and gave one too all of us he have me a sword handle there was a button on the back I clicked it and the sword flew up glowing blue. Naomi got a bow and some arrows we switched because she couldn't use a bow Nathan had a gun with energy bullets that can't run out and Julian had a whip glowing green with poison spikes. I pulled the bow string back and let an arrow fly into one of the Warriors and it ticked and blew up sending some of them flying one of the gargants fathered us up and we all started running back to there base dr. Dread in front one of the dread soldiers in the back.
The Warriors were fast though scratching at my legs I fell to the ground I took one of the arrows and a warrior jumped on top of me I kicked him off into another one of them I looked at the base Jane,Nathan,Julian, and Naomi went in along with the dread soldiers dr.dread walked up to the crowd of Warriors around me and again put his fingers on his head brought them back to his side and the group got of me turned toward the group of Warriors and started attacking there selves I got up and ran over to him he flicked his hand and the Warriors went flying like an explosion  I pulled the string back and killed the rest of the Warriors. Scythe jumped down from the hill and started walking toward us he was wearing a all black suit with a solid black helmet and on both hips he had a blade shaped in a half circle they were scythes. He ripped them out of there holders and they looked sharp and shiny, when he was in Front of us he took his helmet off it was a kid with blonde hair about twenty years old. He put his hand on dr. Dreads shoulder and he disappeared he was on top of his base.
"Run" he was yelling to me
"I heard you were the next best competition" he said
" your about to find out" I snapped back
He swung his blades at me and the bow snapped in half in front of me I took the arrows off and threw them over onto the sand and I swung my fists at him he ducked out of the way and swung his scythe at me but I grabbed his arm and bet it backwards his bones cracked and he dropped the scythe I picked it up and he breathed heavily he swung the scythe at me and it hit me in the side I fell to my knees and he pulled it out sideways so it dragged against my body the blood dripped down from my side.
He walked past me headed for the base I picked up the scythe I dropped when I fell I turned toward him and held the scythe to my side and threw it toward scythe it hit him in the back and fell on his stomach then I passed out. When I woke up dr. Dread was standing over me chanting words I sat up the wound on my side was gone I stood up we were still on the sand except the soldiers and Jane, Naomi, Nathan, and Julian stood above me they helped me up and two of the dreads had brown backpacks hooked to there back.
"We are very grateful of you" dr.dread said "that's why where sending two soldiers to help you in your fight good luck"
And he walked away three soldiers still with him we started walking across the desert and found the old river we used.
And there was more desert until we reached a sign with pictures on it one was a skull and the words under it said do not enter. In the distance there was a big white building that looked like a scientist lab we ignored the sign and walked toward the building I started getting a pounding headache Nathan started coughing and then Jane knelt and looked worried and all the sudden black blood started oozing out of her mouth I ran back to her but stopped in my tracks and started coughing I pulled my hand away from my mouth and coughed blood on it I fell to the ground and started coughing I couldn't breathe I tried but all I couldn't the dreads fell to the ground and my vision blurred but I could see two people approaching us with blue hazmat suits on. When I woke up I was in a glass cage the back was solid  metal in the other cells where Naomi, Jane, Nathan, Julian and the dreads across the way there was one more cell I looked in it there was a man standing in there his veins where black and throbbing out of his skin the cage tag read Abraham.
